What do you guys think of this?

There's nothing clear regarding what to do if you're playing a tracker game and it disconnects. I had something at MM for this but obviously cannot go back and take it word for word.

Here's how I remember it being set up:

-If you're playing a tracker game and it disconnects in the first half, the game doesn't count, no questions asked.

-If the game disconnects in the 2nd half you can restart with the amount of time left in the game. For example, if the game disconnects with 3 minutes left in the third quarter and you were playing 6 minute quarters, you would play one 9 minute quarter with the team winning calling a timeout at the 2 minute mark to represent the 2 minute warning. The only problem here is if the game is tied (or is within one score), no one wants to waste a timeout to represent the 2 minute warning, so you may have to play without one.

-If the game disconnects in the 4th quarter and you're winning by 28 or more points, you get the win.

-If the game disconnects and the two players cannot agree on a solution, the game will not count. Players can always concede to the other player if they feel the game was out of their reach and do not want to restart.

If there are any issues regarding a tracker game, PM Houtz or myself and we will come to a decision after reviewing the situation.

I thought 28 was high also, but 24 is still only a 3 score game and if it's a 6 or 7 min game and the losing team is driving and it disconnects, they could claim they weren't completely out of it, although it's rare to come back from that kind of deficit.

The only thing I'd suggest is maybe giving the win to a guy if it's late in the 4th even if they're not up by 28 points. Most of the time games will be out of reach if a teams up by 14+, especially if the team winning the game has possession.

Other than that it looks good.

I'm hoping guys would have common sense to agree to concede at that point. That's why I put that part in there. If someone is winning by 14 and it disconnects with 1:30 to go and the winner has the ball and the losing team doesn't agree to concede, they can PM us and we can rule in favor of the winning team.

I think that the rules look good. Concur with Realist that if the other person is up by 21 in the 4th quarter, the win should be conceded in the event of a disconnect.

I thought its a given that if you are losing big in the fourth and you get disco'd the guy who was up big gets the win. Last year a guy got mad because i reported an "unfinished" game to the tracker. After all thats why we have the tracker is to TRACK our wins and losses vs each other. I offered to play the game out and he didnt want to, but he was mad that i counted it?

Screw the timeout, just play the time. The only thing a disconnect like this does to me is ruin my tracker thread, because I won't be able to get player and team stats.

Absolutely. Had that been the case in our game yesterday Mobb, I would have told you to chalk up the W.

If a guy holds a 28-pt lead in the 4th quarter, it should not matter if the two players can't agree on a solution. The 28-pt guy wins the game. I agree on the concede thing.

I've seen crazy things happen in this game. A 14-point lead is no guarantee against anyone.
If it's with a minute left and the guy has no timeouts, fine.
But if it's two minutes and the guy has all his timeouts, he deserves a chance to get his W (unless he's willing to concede a W after the disconnect).

I'm talking about if the game is 23-14 with 4 minutes left in the 4th. If the players cannot agree on a solution, the game won't count. Something like that.
