What popular franchise do you dislike or simply not "get" ?

Just read that Skyfall surpassed DKnight rises on all time gross.
Not only is that surprising but it made me scratch my head at the 007 series again. Ive never once been entertained by any of them. I tried again with Casino Royale and was quickly in the same spot of "yuck". Maybe in the 70s it had its place with its spy angle and gadgets but movies like that are a dime a dozen nowadays.

So what about you guys ?

Boondock Saints is considered a franchise? It's just one shitty movie with a really shitty sequel. If that counts as a franchise, then add Taken to the list.

Im going to give the Walking Dead a try, I like Zombie movies so I'll try this. I just got season 1 to watch.

I use to watch Boardwalk Empire, I think I tried to force myself to like it but I could never really get into it.

I watched the first one. I laughed alot. Some of the dialogue was insanely cheesy. Kristin Stewart is abysmal. I think of it as a slapstick or slasher genre where unless you're the target audience youll never get it.

I couldnt get past the first disc. Only people I know that love it have been in advertising or just big fans of "Acting" type shows where people are spot on in there roles but nobody really seems to die, blow up or have l33t magic skills.

It may be the premise. Its just a spy movie to me. The things that make it unique IMO were worn out by the time I was old enough to appreciate those kind of movies. Weren't the 80s a particularly bad run for the franchise ?

Boondock Saints is weird. I was introduced to it after years of hype. I thought it was an ok movie with some decent scenes but I would have never guessed in a thousand years that would be a movie with a cult following.

KoF, I'll tell you why people hate TBBT, (from reddit):

Because the show isn't for nerds, it's for people who are sort of friends with nerds. All of the humor in the show relies on Sheldon being socially incompetent and just saying random things like "That's crazier than trying to play battletoads!" or "That reminds me of my N64!" or "Blah blah something something Battlestar Gallactica!"
I love Community and I love Arrested Development. They are smart shows about dumb people. TBBT is a dumb show about smart people. Those characters are there for the audience to laugh at and make fun of.
Ask yourself, who in TBBT is the audience meant to identify with? The answer is Penny, the friend of the nerds. The audience is meant to see themselves as Penny, who is bombarded with crazy weirdness all the time from her socially inept friends.

Anything with zombies. Why that is the fad that caught on is just beyond me. I don't have any issues with supernatural/fantasy stuff in general, I have no problem looking past reality. But the insane inconsistencies with a zombie is just dumb. Whatever series/movie ect that wants to utilize them just manipulates their abilities based on what they need for the plot to advance.
