Where will Fedor end up?

Simple question, where do you think Fedor ends up after all this mess ultimately ends - UFC, DREAM, Sengoku, or Strikeforce?

My money is on Strikeforce. I heard that they started negotiating with him already. They have non-exclusive contracts unlike UFC and DREAM, so that would give him the option of fighting overseas against guys like Monson and Big Foot, all the while being able to face Overeem and Rogers.

He enjoys fighting in Japan so DREAM will not be a long shot; but if Dana is "serious" about bringing Fedor into the octagon & both sides can negotiate a deal that'll keep both parties happy - then the UFC it is. Which will lead to the HW division being taken hostage by the KGB.

on a side not why do people talk about Overeem ? Even Dana bought the hype. The guy is roided out and was last seen getting smashed by everyone in Pride and hasnt looked that impressive lately. His physique is ridiculous though.
Im a big fan of Overeem but I wouldnt dare include him in the top heavyweights till he actually beats some note worthy ones.

Unless Fedor comes to UFC he may never be seen for what he has been and that's the greatest ever. Going a career in MMA without ever setting foot in the cage will be held against him. I really dont think he cares about fighting the best or anything else his people claim. The guy is humble and doesnt seem to give a hoot about what anyone thinks so long as hes getting his money and a steady flow of opponents.

UFC doesnt need Fedor. Fedor doesnt need UFC. I hope it does but Im pessimistic about it happening. Ideally youll have him come in demolish 2 guys setting up a super fight with hopefully still champ Brock.

Because Overeem has top 10 talent, but no one should put him in the top 10 rankings, like you said, he hasnt done anything to deserve it, but match up wise he can do with anyone IMO

Its just off potential

K1 level striking, ADCC level grappling are a great mix, he should be a beast

I dont think he will go the UFC, they just wont let Fedor have the freedom he wants

Best option for the States would be Strikeforce because they would let him fight in Japan and all that jazz, but Strikeforce doesnt shell out big money

The only guys they pay really well are Frank, between 300-400k, Cung made 150k his last fight and Gina just got signed for 100k, besides that they dont really pay big, but they would let Fedor have his freedom

It all depends what direction they go, they have Werdum, Rogers and Overeem, those are 3 legit fights for Fedor to keep him busy, just depends if they want to try a PPV with him or not

Fedor pretty much is worth 100,000 buys at this point without the UFC, done it 2 times in a row and has a nice little clut following, so you have to weigh how much that is worth to put him on PPV, plus Strikeforce has the Showtime and CBS ties and could pull it off

In the end, it will probably be a mix of Strikeforce, DREAM, K1 match, etc...

Overeem hasn't lost since he moved up to heavyweight and has looked like a fucking beast. Granted, he hasn't fought top competition, but he looks fucking scary. He beat the crap out of Badr Hari in a K1 match and went to decision with Remy Bonjasky (and some have argued won that fight).

He's huge, an excellent kickboxer, and has a good ground game. What's not to like?

There is nothing not to like, but nothing he has done to put him with the top HWs in the world at this point

Sak fought 1 once in the UFC (it was his 2nd MMA fiight) and is still considered one of the greatest of all time, Wand and Nog made there mark in Pride, etc..if anything there legacy went down with there UFC fights

Of course we would like for him to fight in the UFC, but it really doesnt have to happen

The greatest era in MMA HW history was the Pride years

I wouldn't be surprised if UFC took the Fedor contract, just for a one time thing with Brock. Get the fight set, then see if they can ink Fedor to a long term, exclusive deal leading up to it. Ya, it isn't what UFC usually does, but Brock has a unique contract, too, so it isn't out of the ordinary. If the UFC pulled in a Fedor vs Brock match, it would be the biggest buy ever for UFC.

Badr Hari is barely over 200 pounds and his bout with Bonjasky was incredibly boorish and sloppy. I can't see how people think Overeem beat him. Witht that said, I do like Overeem.

Id rather see Fedor go to Strikeforce and fight a huge match on CBS/NBC then have him instantly go to Brock or some other PPV in a few months.

Fedors dominance has been amazing id like for casual fans to get exposed to it and for him to get the due in the states he deserves. There hasn't been a fighter this dominant in boxing or MMA in eons. Too bad he has the charisma of apple juice.

Its just wishful thinking I guess but a Fedor Brock fight would sell better and draw more if a really large audience saw Fedor destroy 1-2 guys on national TV with his record pasted every few seconds on screen before a Brock fight was signed.
If UFC signed him I think that fight would be rushed and Fedor may not have anyone from now till Brock.

His record. And the fact I think hes juicing like mad.

Again I love Overeem but I dont think his recent fights have been impressive. Unfortunately the crop cop fight was a letdown that would have been great to see them go at it.
After this Barnett crap I think being hyper sensitive to potential roiders is reasonable.

if Fedor wants to make it big in the US, UFC is the way to go. biggest org in america, most media exposure, biggest sponsors which all together is going to equal most money. i really dont care where he ends up, as long as he keeps fighting in america.
