Who are the playoff contender pretenders?

Well, it is almost July and currently there are seventeen teams within 4 games of a playoff spot. Anything can happen, but if you're farther back then that you suck and should just sell at the deadline.

Anyways of these sixteen teams, who do you think will still be contending in September, and who are the pretenders?
 
I have 0 faith in the Yankees, Indians or Giants.

Yankees due to the holes in the offense and the horrible pitching depth.

The Indians terrible pitching will eventually take a toll on them.

The Giants always seem like they will fall apart with that lineup and now the pitching really isn't there but I'm sure they will prove me wrong again.
 
Nationals are the kind of team that can easily rattle off a 8-2 stretch and get right back into things. Especially now that Haren is out and Harper is coming back soon

The poll is a list of teams currently contending for a playoff spot. Some of them will fall off by September, identifying which ones is the point of the thread. The point of the thread is not to talk about teams that are bad, and will remain being bad over the rest of the season.

Have only won one series in the past 5.

Their batting order strikes out way too often. Their recent series against San Diego & Milwaukee were pretty poor. I just think they are a flash in the pan team that won 10 straight in April.

Of course they have a 91% chance of making the playoffs because the shitdick Nats are 6 games back. The NL East is the worst division when it comes to Run differential. I foresee an early exit for Atlanta if they make the playoffs.

Ok. So why didn't you also include the Cleveland Indians? Considering they aren't far removed from an 8 game losing streak, and they strikeout almost as much as the Braves. They also don't have the luxury of playing in the NL East.
