Who Will Win the NFC North?

This is a two horse race...Detroit is mathematically eliminated from the division title, and Minnesota is four games out of first place with five left to play.

The experts seem convinced that Chicago is one of the best teams in the NFC. I'm not. Cutler is a wildly inconsistent QB, and it's only a matter of time before DA BEARS return to their former selves. I can definitely see them collapsing coming down the final stretch, and losing four of their last five games to finish 9-7. Green Bay has an easier road, and I'm going with four wins out of their last five games to finish with an 11-5 record. Of course, the key to all of this will be the season finale game. Should be a good one for all the marbles. I'm predicting they both come into the last game with a 9-6 record. Winner gets the title, loser goes home.

I'm still having a hard time buying into the Chicago hype. The Packers are the better team in my opinion but the better team doesn't always win (see game @ Chicago a few weeks ago). Agree that the game between the Bears and the Packers at Lambeau next month will decide the division and the losing team will not even make the playoffs due to the likelihood of the wildcards coming from the NFC South and NFC East.

Green Bay has been having trouble winning close games, but they have not been out of any game this season. One could make the argument they should have won all the games they lost, pretty crazy considering the injuries they've had (2 more players placed on IR today, bringing the list to 13).

Cutler has one of these great performances about once a month at best. The rest of the time he ranges from terrible to decent. I don't think he will be able to get it done down the stretch, but it may not matter since it looks like the defense is good enough to carry that team.

All things considered I still think Green Bay will win the division based on great quarterback play and an opportunistic defense.

You could make the same argument for the Bears.

New York loss - Bears were down 3-0 when Cutler went down at half. He was absolutely destroyed and I'm not saying he was playing well the first half, but he would have done a way better job than Collins and Hanie.

Seattle and Washington loss - both by 3 points. Washington loss was at the hands of Cutler throwing 4 picks.

You can also say that some of their wins could have gone the other way (GB and Detroit win).

Bears are very lucky that they play the Pats and Jets both at Soldier Field.

Chicago is playing better ball right now, but I get this ugly feeling Cutler is going to fuck something up that will cost them dearly.
Their D is obviously first-rate.

That said, I still think Philly is the better team.

Chicago's final stretch(after Detroit) is pretty tough. I like our schedule the rest of the way, in comparison to theirs.

A Drew Stanton led Detroit team, not as threatening as the Shaun Hill led Detroit team.
