Very few teams, even in the tournament have anybody who can stop Hansbrough. Yet time and time again whenever they were having a tough time, Lawson pretty much put the team on his back. He either scored baskets, broke presses or got the ball into the hands of the right players. He constantly has his hands on the basketball and hardly turns it over.
As much as I like Hansbrough he's a bit of a black hole who forces up shots. He can will his team to victory doing that but if the shots aren't falling he's just shooting them out the game. Lawson is a complete player with a very high basketball IQ and has proven to be the engine that makes that team go.
your right they have been doubted in every game except robert morris. USC was "hot" kansas was "better", Louisville was the number 1 seed and was supposed to blow them out, they had "no answer for thabeet".
UNC is the better team and im not doubting that at all. Are they 30 points better like they were in december no way. are they 10 points better i dont think so but they could be, are they 5-6 points better most likely but state has a LEGIT shot to win this game.
Tom Izzo is known for being able to prep the team well on a 1 day turn around and he is a master of 2nd half adjustments.
My bracket is destroyed so I really don't care who wins, I'm pulling for the Spartans though. Home game for them, and being a Big Ten supporter it'd be nice to shut the "experts" up. UNC will probably pull this game out in the end, I'll be watching and pulling for MSU though.

First congrats to the tar heels and their fans they were clearly the better team.
Now to blow up the cliche meter.
Michigan State is my team, i'd never sell them out period, end of story. I thought they had a legit chance to win this game. I still think they had a legit shot to win this game. They played like absolute ass. Lucas was not careless with the ball he was flat out reckless. Why in the world they tried to run with UNC is beyond me. You can not be reckless with the ball and expect to compete with a team as good as UNC. If anyone told me they would turn the ball over 20+ times there is no way in hell i would have said they could win. You can not expect any team much less a team as good as UNC to not capitalize on 20 turnovers. Goran Suton played well and was the only bright spot for the team and they did not feed him the ball enough.
The exclamation point and the defining moment of this game was when green clobbered morgan in the first half with an elbow. Let me clarify that, it was absolutely 100% a "clean" play. It was the perfect example of what this game was UNC wanted the game and wanted the ball while michigan state was content to be there when that is not a tolerable attitude if the program wants to be considered elite.
Hammer me all you want but im a michigan state fan and always have been. Im not a paid expert or journalist i am a fan.
