Why is Mike Goldberg a commentator?

Bas and Quadros will always be my favorite MMA commentary team.

Rogan is very good, aside from the occasional fight he turns into a biased nuthugging fanboy or when he's told to 'build' a fighter to tow the company storyline plans.

I think Shamrock is one of the worst though, yes he knows what he's talking about but the man can't make a decision on anything.

Anyway, the ideal commentators for me would be. Rogan, Schiavello and Bas.

Bas is fucking hilarious. I forget what small promotion he commentated a couple weeks ago...it was the one where the nutjob-tree-hugger won a title or something.....Bas was funny the whole show.

Mauro is the best play by play guy, he's passionate, knows the sport, adds humor when appropriate, has strong opinions when appropriate, he has the total package.

Gus gets a lot of shit, but he has potential. He's new. Why he tones down his act for MMA is beyond me. GET CRAZY, GUS!

Goldie sucks, but I wouldt replace him.

Schiavello isnt everyones cup of tea, but I love him.

Kenny Rice sucks. No product knowledge, he's a goof.

Analyst:

Rogan has tremendous product knowledge, and the demo identifies with him. He does root for certain guys too much. Only drawback. I odnt care that he's never competed, doesnt matter.

Bas sucks.

Quadros is FUCKING AWESOME, insane knowledge, does his homework, loves the sport and his passion comes through.

Pat Miletich is ok, but too dry. Passable, but adds nothing.

Frank has no opinion on anything. Untapped potential. He's a great talker and charasmatic, but it doesnt translate to the booth. I like that he uses wacky pro wrestling terminology like "hammerlock" instead of MMA elitist termmnology like "kimura". Frank & Barnett dont have the prowres fear, they get it that it's all the same shit. Frank even said so on the Houston show when asked why pro wrestlers keep coming to MMA. "Because pro wrestling & MMA are the same." Haha, I hope Mamba was watching.

Muuur talks forever and dominates the action.

Florian is good, better than Miletich, but nearly as dry.

BILL GOLDBERG was the worst, but I miss him because he was awesomely bad.

The Bellator Guy is a good listen.

Agreed, Bill Goldberg's interviews/commentary was great comedy. And speaking of comedic commentary, that's one of the main reasons i'd love to see Rogan and Bas work together.

For professional/by the book commentating Mauro, Schiavello & Quadros.

For retarded/wtf are you talking about/John Kerry commentating you'd have to go with Frank Shamrock, Bill and Mike Goldberg

Gus needs to stick to commentating for the Knicks/CBS, nothing against the guy - he just doesn't do it for me.

Mike Goldberg is awful, I think Gus Johnson can be really good with some more shows

Agree on Pat, he is great but to dry, same with Florian

I like Randy on color, he is dry but it works for him, I like when Randy is in the booth

Frank can be much better when he just acts like himself, dont know why he cant decide who wins a round though

Bas was great, he is sort of a caricature of himself now and just a clown

Mauro is hit or miss, he is a little to Pro Wrestling though, plus he is over the top with his one liners that are so rehearsed

I never was crazy over Quandros, he is good though, I like that he has been around forever and knows about Pride and past shows

'The Voice' is to much, same corny lines all the time and the yelling

Rogan does a good job, but to much routing for fighters, not ever fighting is something I dont overlook when you're doing color

Mir beaks it down he just cant find the right words, you can tell he is a stundent of the game
