Thoughts on the game:
A) The Eagles need to fire Sean McDermott - since he took over, the D has become a joke. It used to be a strength.
B) Reid, once again, failed to even try and establish a run game early. Shotgun first play of game, ho hum. Where were the damn screens that worked so well all season?
C) Akers? Can't figure that one out. First FG miss, understandable. The second one inexcusable.
And, as much as I hate to say it, the last 4-6 weeks make me wonder about Vick as a decision-maker. I can forgive the throw to Cooper being bad, it happens, but why the heck didn't he just spike the ball on that first down with 41 seconds left and settle down the O?
At the end of the day, the Eagles simply didn't have a good enough D to win a Super Bowl. A Pop Warner team could score a TD inside the red zone against them this year.
And give Green Bay credit. Unlike Philadelphia, they used offensive balance and got an unreal game from a guy I'd never heard of before. Imagine, if Philly used some offensive balance with a RB we've head of ... you know, the guy who averaged 5 yards a carry this year?
