The Rangers and their offense, plus Cliff Lee will end up winning the World Series. Would not have though that at the start of the season. Hell, I would have said the Giants don't even make the playoffs.
 
I went with Rangers in 5. I'm rooting for the Rangers as well, despite being an NL guy, mostly because I love Cliff Lee.
 
I'm doing Rangers in 6, but I can just as easily see Giants in 6. It's going to be a pretty even series I think. I just think overall the Rangers are a little bit more balanced that Giants offense is not pretty, but again it's a short series so one hot bat can lead them... so who knows.

Can't wait for this series. Cliff Lee vs. Tim Linecum Game 1, god that's going to be good.
 
Seems like everyone is picking the Rangers which I understand, but I think it's kind of funny how everyone just dismisses the Giants beating the Phillies in 6 as not that big of an accomplishment.

I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Philly supposed to have an equal or better pitching staff and a much better lineup than the Giants?

Definitely, but the Phillies big bats all hit cold spells at exactly the worst time. That's just MLB playoff baseball for you. Such a small amount of games can lead to just about anything happening.

Just looking at the lineups there's a clear advantage to the Rangers so they are the more logical pick for me. Can Hamilton have an off series and can Juan Uribe and Cody Ross continue to play way over their heads and led the Giants to victory? Possibly. But for the purpose of just guessing and predicting the Rangers are my more logical pick.

I was looking at the Big 3 to carry us past you guys. I picked my boys in 6, but that was based on the fact that we would take the first 3 and then maybe lose Game 4 & 5. I didn't see the fact that Cody Fuckin Ross would hurt us as much as he ended up doing, eventhough he has always been a bane in Phils existence. I also didn't see such a horrendous performance with RISP by the Phils bats either. I envisioned all the games vs the giants to be 1 run games or so, but the other way around because we were supposed to be the more experienced and clutch team.

Anyway I go back to my point, to the Rangers each pitch looks like a goddamn softball lofted in the air ready to be a double or HR. Good luck to the Giants, because you are winning one game. The Rangers will feast on Sanchez, Cain and Baumgartner. Then when they put Timmay out there on short rest he will be toast.

Since you've already proven today that you're the king of terrible sarcasm; I have to ask before commenting. Is this sarcasm or just blatantly retarded?
 
I'm pretty confident in all of our pitchers. Sanchez can get lazy at times but he can get really hot as well.

Our lineup has had guys step up throughout the year. If it's not Huff and Posey it's been Torres or Ross or Uribe or Sandoval or Burrell.

I'm not saying the Giants are going to win but I think they have a much better shot than people are giving them and I don't see the Rangers just teeing off on Cain/Sanchez/Bum like some are suggesting.

Im not that convinced on Sanchez and cant really see the argument for being sold on him, i think its foolish for a guy who has a really great game and then two terrible games (which actually makes him due though), but i wouldnt have been mad or surprised to see tim - cain - bum rotation for the WS

and i just saw on ESPN, all of the states east of texas except for NY chose the Rangers. smh

Rangers have hit .276 through the season and .281 in the playoffs, both #1 in the league. They are arguable the #1 offense in the league by a mile, and the Giants have one AL caliber pitcher, obviously Lincecum. Pitching to the Rangers is a shitloads different than the pathetic Pads, D-Backs or the Dodgers. The Rockies had a tough lineup, but still didn't compare to the Rangers.

Cain: 130 ERA+
Lincecum: 119 ERA+

Using an adjusted league/park stat like ERA+ Cain grades out better than Lincecum.

Don't underrated Cain.
 
No offense intended to the Giants but, HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING THIS? All joking aside, they look like they really want it. I thought that they would be exposed by the Rangers, and obviously that didn't happen.
