EDIT: And we all know that Shane/Vince will turn on HHH and Steph.

Stephanie dropped the set on her Dad when he was giving away all that money a while ago so she could take over as head of the WWE.

Also, in the PPV's defense, the stipulations that Orton got placed on the match (HHH can't be DQed or Counted Out on top of everything else or he would lose the title) would work on paper BUT...

...it prevented us from seeing how much Orton would have gotten his ass whupped.

Instead, dude jobbed out to a bunch of punches and a sledgehammer shot.

It was a good show, better than expectations.

MITB had some great spots with Kofi and Shelton. Punk winning was an interesting surprise.

The IC match was interesting and unexpected. The Ledger joke from JR was odd.

Taker/HBK was match of the night and awesome.

The main event sucked and the crowd was done after the Taker/HBK match and Austin.

The Hardy's had a solid fight, apparently the first of their feud.

The Jericho/Legends match was good. Steamboat looked great and Piper worked his ass off. The Rourke (I heard Frank Shamrock was with him, cool to see him on the broadcast) involvement was pretty cool.

My early comment as far as historically, in the lower realm of WMs definitely but not even close to the worst ever.

Orton was built up for 9 months to lose to HHH cleanly after a pedigree.

Goodbye momentum. Hello 2003 HHH.

Bret Hart versus Yokozuna for the title.

Hart gets beat and the Sumo Wonder from the Far East is your World Champion... until Hulk Hogan gets permission from Hart to fight Yoko.

3 seconds later, and Hogan is your NEW World Champion.

This year's Wrestlemania is not the worst and doesn't have the worst finish either.

Wrestlemania pretty much establishes that most, if not all the face wrestlers will win that evening (aside from HHH winning but that's been brought up multiple times already so...) so we have to go in knowing that when watching the PPV.

That being said, Orton's done everything he can to build himself as the Top Heel on Raw up until tonight and I have no doubt that if Vince wants to keep this going, he'll book Orton to get another crack at the title at Backlash.

As for Cena winning, only Big Show would have been a more plausible winner because Edge is booked as a pussy now against top tier wrestlers and Show himself went over Cena on Raw.

That should have been a big hint that he wasn't going over.

But, in a time when you're desperately trying to established NEW huge stars, you could have definitely had Orton go over HHH there. Absolutely could have been done because of how big the build up was. That's my only gripe. If you wanted to treat it with a Judgment Day ending, treat it with 1 month of hype, but a 9-month Randy Orton/Legacy build-up culminated in a clean face victory with zero kick outs or back and forth action.

I thought the MitB match was just a terrible spot fest. For matches like this, you need to tell some sort of story, and here they didn't tell much of any. Just a spot fest...a few cool spots, thats it. Meh.

The Women's Battle Royal was bad and there was no funny to be had at all.

The Hardy's match was ok at best...for a match like this, you need to tell a fuckin story, they didn't tell anything here...

JBL match was a joke...terrible. At least Rey Rey had a cool mask.

Taker v. HBK was good, but it wasn't epic or anything. I don't thin they told a great story.

Cena/Edge/Big Slow was meh. Paint by numbers job.

HHH/Orton was ridiculously anti-climactic and served no purpose. Orton needed to win that match. Should have had the Cena match as the final match.

Lame overall. Only one match worthy of WrestleMania...Taker and HBK. Glad I didn't buy.
