Yeah exactly when I say "1988 Season completed" that means..imagine it is right after the Super Bowl for that year so like March 1989.
So I could say like 1991 season completed, and say "this guy threw 4 passes and had no completions"
and it's Brett Favre, even though he went on to become the all-time leading attempt thrower with 9,280.

-On his previous team, the Buccaneers, he spent 5 seasons with them as a starter and led them to the playoffs 3 years (1979, 1981, 1982)
-At the end of the 1988 season Doug Williams had 99 career touchdown passes along with two 3,000+ yard seasons in 1980 and 1981.

-Jimmy Smith was originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1992. That season the Cowboys went to the playoffs. Then in 1996 the Jaguars went to the playoffs.
-Jimmy Smith played for two teams, the Cowboys, and then the Jaguars, but in 1994 he was a Philadelphia Eagle, but was cut by the team before the season started. (where I was confused)
-He was close to a 4x improvement in catches from 1995 to 1996 going from 22 to 83. NBC's Dick Enberg told the nation "Nobody wanted him. Now here he is, making over 80 catches and that incredible touchdown catch!" after the Jags upset the Broncos with a 16 yard game winning TD grab by Jimmy Smith that would put the Jaguars in the AFC title game.
