Haha wow you're actually right. It's not the guy I'm thinking of so we'll continue with this question but this is the first time since the rule ammendments that somebody has mentioned a player that meets the criteria that's not the one i'm asking about, so you get points, just not the full points, and the question is still active.
Curtis Martin did have 40 carries against NYJ as well as 199 yds against his future team Jets, which are both career highs (at the time he eventually got 203 yards against a diff. team but that was after 1997) and of course naturally he led his team in rushing. So good guess slash 1/2 correct answer.

Another good guess and very very close to being another 5 pointer hah. But, while Harris did have his career high 33 carries this year. He did not have a career high this year with 122 yards against a future team in Green Bay, he merely tied his career high. He also had 122 yards in 1996 as well.
