Nothing is for sure right now. He was on ESPN and they said 3yrs/18M but he said (if memory serves me right) that his agent was still working out the numbers and years. We won't find out till July 8th.

Artest is only going to the Lakers to ruin the chemistry and to ruin the team, he is gonna be out of there before the All-Star break because him and Kobe are not gonna get along. And they lost Ariza and possibly Odom. If the Spurs manage to get 'Sheed in the FA then I would put them in front of the Lakers for that WC Champion and pretty much the NBA Champion.

this is a joke. even with rashaed, the spurs come nowhere close to what the lakers have on their team right now. their next move should be to get a younger point guard to replace fisher. maybe not this season but soon, because he only has a few good years left.

I actually do beleive the lakers were better off keeping Ariza then signing Artest IMO

There's no denying Ariza had a fine playoff, but does one playoff equal a huge contract?
Before the playoffs, Ariza was seen as nothing more than a young journeyman.
Who's to say he won't revert back to that next year?
Artest is a proven player and a defensive force.
My gut tells me Ariza is gonna be a huge bust in Houston. Anyone can look good getting the open shots he got, thanks to all the attention on Bryant. Let's see what happens to Ariza when he's the focus of those double-teams ... because without Yao Ming, Artest and likely McGrady, he's going to be the only focus of the opposition D.
