First game I ever bought with my own money was:

got it and the sega genesis at the same time with christmas and birthday money i had saved. this was coincidentally also the first time i had ever saved money for longer than 3 days..

I was 5 or 6 when the NES came out and I played the shit out of it, but I don't consider that ME owning it or the games.. my uncle did pull us out of school to go buy that thing though.. :lol:

When my parents and I went out to buy our first computer, the Apple IIc, they told me I could buy a game and they would buy one too.

Each came on 6 floppy disks. I remember the feeling of accomplishment when I beat KQII. So good for a 9 year old.

X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse on SNES was awesome.

I can still remember the weird spring noise the Zapper gun made.

Also, the squids in the underwater levels of SMB are bullshit to this day.
