It was rumored a while back that it would have a livery editor, but I haven't heard anything about it since then.

The online options look amazing, even being able to run a b-spec(you play the role of team boss) race from your computer if your PS3 is in remote mode...I'll post all the features tomorrow.

There are a lot of wheels available, it really depends what you are looking to spend. I'm getting the G27 which is 299, but there are several cheaper

I can only answer 1 of your questions. I can say with 90% accuracy the only thing you will be able to do is choose paint color and thats it. Its not that type of game.

thats one of the reasons I really like forza over GT is the way I can personalize my car. Even if it just putting on some different rims painting them black, tinting the windows and 1 silly racing stripe. GT is a driving simulation game....different game than Forza.

As in GT3&4, you can paint the car, pick tons of different types of wheels from different companies, paint your wheels, etc.

In GT4, you could pick a few different "preset livery schemes" is the best way I could describe it...I think they were from real racing series?

You are right though in the fact that its almost certain it won't have anything as in depth as Forza

the customization in forza alone awesome. Im sure you guys have seen what you can do with that stuff.

im curious if GT5 will have damage. cause honestly, that isnt all its cracked up to be. even playing with sim gamers, you rub a bit here and there and your car ends up being totally fucked for real driving

Yes damage is includeed but i heard that not every car will have the ability to be damaged for some reason.

So far I have yet to see a racing game with the damage system that codemasters has on GRID, Dirt 1 and 2. Their damage affects were awesome!

I really look forward to this game and I am definitely getting it at launch.....I just hope it is fun.

Damn. Not a deal breaker but having the Forza customization would have put it over the top. I dont have a 360 so I never got to fuck with it but seeing what people were doing was crazy. As for a 300 dollar wheel....fuck that. Shit aint that serious especially considering that I wont be playing it a whole bunch.

i never understood the love for the wheels. you have to have a great setup to make the wheel feel comfortable...u cant just set it up on a table and expect it to feel right. then there is the pedals to setup too. shit ends up moving around and what not

All cars have damage, but only the premium models have interior damage. I also do not care about damage, but tons of people wanted it for whatever reason.

The time trial competition they put out earlier this year on the new game code was a blast, but hard as hell with professional physics on. You couldn't just floor it after every turn/shift or you'd be in the grass.

I think we could have some epic go kart races. 30 minute laps on the nurburgring

At least we'd have time to appreciate the fact that Polyphony took the time to update all of the graffiti that is on the track

edit: It appears that we *may* be able to do a rally stage type league, whereas the game will randomly generate rally courses point to point, and we can each do a stage (with audible codriver) for time like in real life :D

No you don't! GTPlanet has a huge thread on cheap DIY wheelstand setups...my favorite so far is the kids lawn chair+fisher price table

There are tons and tons of different things people have come up with that look great imo

Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of reading here on the threads and we all like to save a little money don't we? I have an AK Rocker chair retails for 79 bucks at Best Buy and all I need is a brace or wheel stand and possibly something to hold my pedals at an angle. I am looking to spend...

I never brought one but I figure no matter the set up having a wheel beats using a controller. With a wheel I imagine it feels like you have a lot more control over the car. If I can find a decent one for no more than 100 Ill get one.

Do they make wheels that work for both 360 and PS3?

The only two wheels that I can find that will work for both systems. I just did a quick search so there might be more than this.

                              Agree with this 100%.
And I can't imagine having a wheel in the middle of my livingroom.
Admittedly, everyone who knows me knows I'm a damn geek, do I need physical proof in the middle of the livingroom?

Sure! Some people (gamers) go all out... Racing boots, gloves, helmet, suit etc etc. Can't see how that shit makes you a better driver when it comes to a videogame.

Racing wheel does add to the fun factor and adds a lot of realism for me.
