There is no way NHL10 is arcadey, as it is by far the realist NHL game to date. Yes, there were a lot of glitch goals, but the game play was solid.

Can't wait for this game, hope it's better than arcadey NHL 2009, after playing it for a month religiously and after the newest patch for a week, the multiplayer glitches turned me away from the game.

So I am back to NHL 2004 on the PC with mods and ai tweaks and the game is amazing!. Most realistic NHL I have ever played, If your looking for a realistic NHL game, get 04 on the pc with mods.

ROFL. 2004? That was ONE TIMER mania. Easily the WORST couple years of NHL was 04 and 05. Those games were fucking ridiculously stupid.

On the consoles, 04 was one of the better ones, but as I said in the last post. ON the PC, its very popular on the PC because it was the only NHL game in the series that modders have actually been able to tweak the game within the game's actual source files. You can customize everything

Combine that with the AI being the best out of all the NHL games and you have a game which has put NHL 09 on the shelf for me.

Yeah I've been there and done that. Tweak everything, blah blah blah.

Doesn't change the fact that one-timers rule all and a simple 3 step deke will defeat the goalie every single time.

I don't care that you can have 100% accurate gear, ads, overlays, ice, whatever. The gameplay was a joke. There is no true hockey strategy to that game.

Yes I'm referring to and have always been speaking about the PC version.

when you play against people who play sim and dont have to deal with that shit, all games are like that. there is a large majority that do anything to win, and then there are people that like to play sim, and play against each other. there is no way nhl 2004 is more sim than nhl09, its just not happening. have fun playing against the cpu on your 'superior' out-of-date game, and of this thread

See that is the thing. I can play the CPU in NHL09 and have no glitch goals, no goal line goals, no curve shots and play a pure sim game. That is the same thing you are doing, since in NHL04 you are only able to play the PC. So we can both do the same thing, and NHL09 is way more sim then 04. Then I can go play guys like wr50l, KG or sharpie (lol) and play another pure sim hockey game and have no issues.
