it makes the recruit less interested in the team you're recruiting against, if you do it well
Somebody explain "Recruit Against" feature?

Ok heres how you use it...
Recruit against pitches that the recruit likes (Most, Very High, High) but only if the other school pitch prestige is low (C+ on down pretty much).
- points= Good your doing it right
+ points= Bad your making the recruit like the other school more.
For example.... Washington fucking sucks balls at everything. So their a C- on their pitches. I will recruit against the recruits pitches that he is most interested in. Maybe UW cheated again or something and now they have a pitch with an A. And the pitch with an A is a Most, Very High, or High. Dont recruit against for that pitch as it will only end up you recuiting for THEIR school. So if the pitch value is low but high importance to the recruit then recruit against. Usually it doesnt work well against high prestige teams so I would only suggest this for schools with low pitch values.
What I usually do is recruit against and then recruit for your school if Im behind on a recruit so your making a move on the recruits top schools much faster.
I hope that helps, and if your slow or something I could explain it better too. And if you still dont understand it then well you are retarded :D -

there is alot of contradictory info on this. some saying + is good others saying - is good.
but of all the info i have read, potato actually made the most sense. He confused me by saying washington sucks and then used UW as an example since i thought he was a UW fan :doh:Comment

For the person who said they downplayed a B+ I just used C+ as an example its possible but its not that likely to downplay a high value pitch. IF you are able to downplay these it usually goes...... 0......-2......0........-2..........So it really isnt that effective.
And BTW the Huskies suck dick and I will never root anyone on their team or anyone that goes to their shitty softball school.Comment

i use it whenever i discover that one of the recruit's interests is what a school is bad at, i downplay that school in that category. since i'm doing a chise with indiana, most school's are better than me, so i don't use it very often.

so when its in the recruit interest and you have + 2 +5 +7 does that mean its working for you or do you want something else?

Yes -'s are bad, a developer backed me up on this and if you downplay some the other school is really good add +'s are added so you know its not working right.
