You have to look at it through a marketing perspective. They are going to give a great deal so you feel real good about Sports Illustrated, you'll get the magazine for 28 weeks, about half a year, and then it's a good chance you will subscribe again because they have built a good rapport between their magazine and you. In an age where print journalism is dying, it's probably a decent move to try and salvage some sales.Comment

Seeing as this is the Madden part of the forum, I won't go into the semantics of how S.I.'s only worth getting during the regular Pro/College Football or Baseball season and other than that, the Swimsuit issue.
Best usage of the game/magazine offer:Get the subscription for a friend or family member and keep the game for yourself.
