There has to be a catch...like you have to wait a month to get madden or something....

When I did it and it went through it said that they would ship the game on the 14th. I'll let you guys know how long it takes lol. I'm going to gamefly it in case it takes too long.

^^^This. You guys are acting as if delaying the game with make it cost less to them or something. Only way that's possible is if they delay it for like two or three months until the price drops, and I seriously doubt SI would do that. After all, it even says the game will ship on the 14th. You'll probably get it on the 16th or 17th.

You have to look at it through a marketing perspective. They are going to give a great deal so you feel real good about Sports Illustrated, you'll get the magazine for 28 weeks, about half a year, and then it's a good chance you will subscribe again because they have built a good rapport between their magazine and you. In an age where print journalism is dying, it's probably a decent move to try and salvage some sales.

Do they make the game for the X Box every year or is it just Ps2?

I would think that the XBox copies would be special order, if at all... no chain store carries the Microsoft video game brand unless it comes with a "360" attached to it.

They're definitely the 360 version. If you guys are really interested why not email someone at SI? I'm sure they'll have the answer. While you're at it ask when you'll get the game.

Seeing as this is the Madden part of the forum, I won't go into the semantics of how S.I.'s only worth getting during the regular Pro/College Football or Baseball season and other than that, the Swimsuit issue.

Best usage of the game/magazine offer: Get the subscription for a friend or family member and keep the game for yourself.

...at least it's better than the fleece pullover or the football phone you used to get...
