GH 5 with Van Halen anyone?

Got my copy of Van Halen today.

After playing GH5, it's very meh. It's exactly the same setup as Metallica. Feels dated. Not to mention alot of the non-Van Halen songs are on RB2. But, for a free game, I'll take it

Sounds exactly like what most were thinking. They threw this game together as another cashout it looks like.

Yep. The ones I have played so far have had them with short hair and how they look now, but I think you can unlock how they looked in the 70s/80s.

I received my copy of GH5 in the mail yesterday. I know the series is tired at this point but I'm a sucker for these music games. I have my voucher all filled out for GH:VH and ready to drop in the mailbox.

Plus it has 3 Doors Down which I'm ecstatic about. Even if it is only one song.

Just so you know...Rock Band has "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down and a few Breaking Benjamin songs they released for DLC a week or two ago. I know you like those bands so I thought I'd give you a heads up.

I just heard about the BB pack on a Giant Bomb podcast. I didn't know anout 3DD although it would be stupid to pay for just one song when it's already in GH5.

I did receive my copy of Van Halen yesterday. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. It got here a lot sooner than expected. Very quick turn around for a free game.

Playing VH now. I love the songs but this game was obviously just thrown together. It's exactly like Metallica without any of the so called story buts in between. Oh, well, it was free and the songs still kick ass.

I really like the guest artists as well. Foo Fighters. Jimmy Eat World, Foreigner, Killswitch Engage...
