yep tower of Latria. Its pretty badass. That one should be played in the dark. I loved coming up to one cells full of those crazy bad guys and in the next cell over you hear this moaning noise and the evil music starts playing in that area.

the bastard sword owns in that area cause those cells have like 8 to 10 bad guys. So as you enter the cell they all attack you at once. One swing of the sword and they all go down. My sword is +3 and its pretty awesome.

btw, those cells freaked me out when i saw some of the crazies in those large ceramic looking holding cells. Only there heads were sticking out of them. I was like WTF and then just slashed them all. the fucking guys constantly yelling help me

yeah I wasn't sure if I should kill them cause they don't seem to get aggressive unless you take the first swing.

the first time i opening one of the sealed caskets and the fucker jumped out at me.......skipped a beat. haha. don't know why i didn't see it coming.

another reason to kill them is the drops are great. I died like 3 or 4 times on that level. Each time i went back thru i got good drops from those guys. Alot of stones from them.

The other nice thing is that as you go thru u get keys that unlock a gate near the archstone. You have to backtrack thru that gate to finish up the level anyways. but with the gate open its just a short walk to where i think the level is ending. I found sage frake..it looks like him but he didnt talk to me. I still need to find his cell key to let him out. I want him back in the nexus for his magic lessons.

Did you go back to 1-1 and try and snag the loot by where the dragons are sleeping? I am curious if they are gone on your game too. They have always been there until last night when i went and they were gone. their were chared bodies all over and the 4 or 5 loot piles. But no dragons. Obviously you cant miss them

I haven't done Latria alive yet so I don't know the item drops, but good to know.

I wanna get Yuria the Witch in the nexus, she teaches a spell (soulsucker) that doubles the souls you get from enemies when used.



I can't remember what triggers the dragons to leave, but I killed the red one myself and then looted the other stuff. (the sleeping black dragon fucked me up with his tail tho. lol)

does the red dragon still do fly-by's in 1-2? all you gotta do is get to the first guardtower and shoot him each time he flies by. takes like 10 minutes, but you get a few thousand souls and he's gone for good.

yeah he was doing fly bys in 1-2. i didnt even think about trying to fight him, but i know what u mean by being on the tower. He still continues to fly by the entire time

what do u mean by u havnt done latria alive? why does it matter to do it alive vs in soul form? or do u mean u just did it as a another person helper?

Yeah he doesn't do anything different so it's just stand there and press R1 100 times till he's dead (make sure to bring enough arrows or whatever ;))


Sorry yeah I meant I had helped someone, never actually done it in "my game" yet.


I usually just do runs of 4-2 (helping people), cause it's a good level to gain lots of souls (no risk of losing them if you are helping someone) and in 30+ runs I've never had someone finish the boss. lol

i went thru 4-1 a bunch of times. But never went thru the first fog. i used that to farm souls earlier. i am not quite powerful enough for that level. That is the only level i have seen blue markers, but i didnt summon anyone.

the one time i got invaded was on that level. But i never got to face the guy because one of the enemies killed me before i got to see the guy who invaded me.

i want to go home and play this now

Just up the stairs on the left is where the weapon I keep telling you to go get is. ;)


In the 4th world, when you go to join someone's game you sometimes get made into the level boss. It's really fucking weird and happened to me once, I had no fucking idea what was going on. You end up in the boss room and have to wait for them to get there, but buddy ended up dying before he got to me so nothing ended up happening.

i got up the stairs in 4-1. Right to the first fog where the 2 skeletons are shootings arrows from above. i just didnt go thru the fog. But i remember getting some good loot from that area. whats this weapon u are talking about?

yeah just before those archer skeletons there's a path on your left. it's guarded by a dual katana weilding skeleton that will hit you pretty hard, but he's dumb as a rock and you can step past him I think..

it's the cresecnt falchion, magical sword.

they way i remember it is right at the start there is 1 skeleton who rolls at you. then there is a stone archway that you walk thru and up ahead is a wide set of stairs with 1 skeleton on it. Just beyond him there are 2 more skeletons, one of them is shooting arrows, the other charges you. After the the stair way moves up to the left where another skeleton is on the ground charging you, and the last 2 are above the fog shooting arrows.

im still trying to imagine where the path on the left would have been.

It's near the top of the stairs.

when you go through the first stone archway look up and to the left. You'll see the badass skeleton chillin up there if I remember correctly...

i found this guide with maps. it looks to be right where your saying....i didnt fight the duel wielding skeleton, but i did pick up some loot on a very small section on the left....but i dont think it was a sword. I will have to check when i get home.

interesting. the map shows and explains how you need to go through the castle wall pathway to get to the sword, but I didn't. maybe I rolled off the ledge or something to get to him.

I'll have to look again when i'm in game.

yep....i know that area in the description and pic. There is loot there, but no bad guy and no sword from what i remember. But a magic wielding sword is FTW!
