fuck that the Vanguard raped me with one blow, but I got to the Nexus after, I guess I can't do the tutorial again?

You aren't supposed* to kill him. Can only do the tutorial once per character, but if you make a new toon you can then do it again.

* You CAN kill him though, you have to run in fast and get behind him, move out and back in when he does the butt stomp thing, and just circling around him and keep at it. Not much point to it other than to prove you can, you just die automatically in the area after him.

So I chose to be a barbarian to start, I made it through the tutorial easily but like I posted had tons of trouble with that Vanguard.
I went to the Nexus and jumped off the top of the stairs a couple times (lol) and then went to the Bolteria castle.
Got through pretty far and got some random sword but died after some fire flinger surprised me on the stairs.
It's all good through cause I'm loving this game so far, gonna go chill for a bit then play tonight because I'm sick so I can't go out

picked this up the other day. really enjoying it so far. been a while since i've played a good dungeon crawler, and its a welcome break from just playing FPS's. decided to go with a temple knight and got through 1-1 in a couple hours. got fucked up by the blue demon once or twice but then i showed him whats up. skimmed through the thread and figured it was a good idea to stay away from the red knight. anyone still playing this? id love to play some co-op. im not even sure what level i am but i know its pretty low.

geez...that went right over my head. i dont know much about the ps3 trophy system, but i assume platinum are the best...which means twigg is right about you being a beast.....that game, getting platinum must have been a bitch

Platinum is the equivalent to getting all 1000 points in a 360 game. It's a little different because when you get all of the trophies in a PS3 game you get an extra, Platinum, trophy.

I'm pretty sure I have ZERO Platinums.

I finally killed the Tower Knight today with some help from eb1920, which is the first boss I've beaten other than the Phalanx since I've had the game, LOL.

I am playing as a Hunter now and enjoying it more. The mobility is much better and makes it a lot easier for me than it was playing as a Knight or Templar, my first two toons.

welp it only took me two straight hours of dying but i finally beat that fucking tower knight. never have i played a game so frustrating yet so satisfying at the same time. the game pisses you off so much you dont stop until you beat whatever it is your trying to beat. the game is so good i just dont want to give up on it and now im finally getting new weapons/upgrading and upping my stats but i can only imagine how insanely hard the game is later on.

i felt the same way. But eventually my frustration took over. I hope that doesnt happen for you cause its a awesome game

hes actually quite easy once you get the pattern down. i would try to stand behind him the whole time and he would do the jump back move and fuck me up or something cheesy where i would get stuck when he was falling down and get sqaushed but now when i help other people beat him i can do it no problem. only took me getting killed by him 10 times in a row but i got the hang of it

finally beat flamelurker. i made the mistake of ignoring magic up to that point and trying to stand there and melee with flamelurker is a death sentence. so i had to go grind to get the ability to learn magic then get some spells. even with magic i was having a tough time cause when he would get down to low health and go into rage mode he would just hunt me down non-stop and eventually kill me. i helped someone else beat him then turned back into human form and finally was able to take him down. so far ive beat 1-1,1-2,2-1 and 2-2 so onto 3-1 i suppose.

where is that short cut on 4-1? i could never figure out how to do it. I read in a wiki that you would get up to the first gate and go up to the upper are ofthe gate and head to the stairs on the right side (right if your facing the gate) and there was some way to jump to the end boss
