It's like heroin to them. Remember way back when with the original Gameboy? That thing was a turd compared to the Sega Gamegear but it sole through the roof. Then they released 'new' version that simply had colored outsides but no changes to the system at all. I think those even sold more than the original. Craziness. I'm perfectly happy with my DS and have zero intentions of buying a DSi.
They really are fucking crazy. I can not wrap my head around it. Also, not only did the Gameboy outsell the Gamegear, but isn't it the best selling handheld ever (unless of course, the DS took over that spot)?

Also, I don't regret selling my DS to finance the purchase of my PSP. It's like Gameboy vs. Gamegear all over again.

      That's exactly what's it's like.

I heard a very disheartening tidbit on the most recent 1Up podcast (which has been renamed Four Guys, 1Up since John Davis and Garnett Lee left). They were talking about the NPD's and mentioned that, while it's technically a rumor because the figures can't be verified because they were so low, Dead Space; Extraction for the Wii only sold 9,000 copies! That is truly a shame. I was going to finally pick it up as part of this weeks B2G1 Wii sale at Target but after hearing that I'm sure the game will be hitting the bargain bin soon enough.

It's just ridiculous that Wii owners shout that they need more "hardcore" games on their console, but when they come out, and good ones at that (Dead Space, House of the Dead, Mad World, Conduit, No More Heroes, etc) no one fucking buys them.
