360 Headsets

Im on my 3rd pair of Turtles. My first pair were X3s I stepped on them pretty hard while having sex. My 2nd pair were the X4s which my dog eat the microphone part. Bought my 3rd pair yesterday bought the X1s which are going to be kept away from my dog.

Xbox headset is fine if you dont need to hear the game audio through them. I want my surround blasting even at 4am when everyone is asleep. A good headset is the only way I could do that.

I pretty much only use mine for game audio, and even movies and its pretty much perfect as far as headphones go. They dont even come close to a good surround sound set, but when compared to other headphones, they are awesome.

I got the same Tritton's as Virix and I also find them superior to Turtle Beaches. If you can shed a couple dollars get the surround sound-headsets (AX Pro)... amazing.

Im not saying people wont like them "just fine", but im a real audiophile. Im very picky about sound quality and spend tons of money on getting the best surround sound I can. I needed some headphones so naturally, I bought the TB headset because they were easily available and $200 later, I felt like I wasted my money.

Well I got my PS3 Turtle Beach headset for only $100 but for $200 they aren't worth it. I felt like I got a pretty good deal. I would be willing to deal out at max about $130 for them.

yea I payed 100 for mine too some kinda deal I got when I bought my xbox, wii, ps3, and tv from dell, so in the end I probably paid 300 for the damn headphones that didn't make it 6 monthes, you never answered me (or i missed it) how much are the trittons? How heavy duty is the cable and how do you hook them into your system>?

The Turtle Beaches I have are the X41s. They are their top of the line model, and are only available for the 360, so they are different than the pair you have. They still sell for around $200 retail, although like everything else you can find them cheaper if you search on the internet.

Well, just comparing those two you can use the Trittons for voice chat on both systems (not sure if you have both) and they have independent voice/game sound controls. Being able to turn the voice up, and not the game sounds is priceless.

Go with the Tritton headset, ATB. Specs are much more impressive(for the price) than the X1.

then apparently you don't know what its like to have a dog that goes batshit crazy every five minutes and trips over everything in sightand a girlfriend who likes to step on cables therefore ripping your ears off the side of your head.... Im sure the sound quality is much better from a wired set but in all honesty how much of that difference can the human ear actually hear? If we are talking a 50 dollar diffrence then it isn't to much of a worry but if your talking 100 or more for a wired over a wireless then Ill stick with the TB
