Bigger TV's are better for sports games, that's for sure. When I'm running my offense on 2k10 I can see open players and things developing then I would on the smaller screen.
Couldn't really tell you the difference for shooters, I never snipe, I just run around.
The first time I played Madden on a widescreen tv, I was so excited to actually see my outside receivers.
