Jesus christ I seriously wonder what some of you people are on.

The thing can apparantly produce graphics close to what the 360/PS3 can make and has the capability of doing 3D, all the while its small enough in your hand.

If your seriously whining about $50 for something like that then get out of gaming and take up a cheap hobby like knitting or something.

Tried getting Dead Space 1 from GF but it still hasn't shipped, was hoping to finish it before the 2nd came out.

I stopped paying $200+ for a gaming machine once I paid for my PS3 Slim in full.

I remember when Super Nintendo games used to be upwards to $300 a pop.

You couldn't even play N64 games without that stupid ass Rumble Pack (which Sony did better with the Dual Shock) or that RAM pack that you had to buy to play Perfect Dark with.

So sorry if $250 for a "3-D" handheld is a bit much... especially if the damn thing is definitively going to give me headaches AND cause me to vomit if the beta reports are true.

LOL at "close to the 360/PS3". The last I heard they said it had graphics close to the Wii, which is closer to PS2.

We actually talked about this briefly on the podcast and I think we all agreed it is $50 too much so you might be in the minority. You and all the Japanese that are lining up for blocks to pre-order.

I'm not concerned so much about a TF2 update (I have it on PC also) as I am about trophy support for The Orange Box and the ability to move use the Steam cloud to switch between the two versions of the games seamlessly. I think those features should be relatively simple to implement.

I went off what wikipedia and some sites were going with but they don't even have the true specs for it yet. People thought they were going with an nvidia chipset but nintendo is flat out denying it.

The PSP for example was $250 ($299 at the time for us canadians) when it was first released.

Im pretty sure the PSP is overpriced as well. With its shitty game collection and horrible service it should be $100.

My whole thing is you would think with the whole xbox 360 red ring thing that paying a little bit more might be worth it.

The same people that bitch about it being over priced would be the same people that bitch about the thing breaking easily if it were made cheaper to bring the cost down.

That's a very good point, although MS obviously wasn't worrying about saving anyone any money when the 360 released. It was $400 and built like a turd.

The thing with handheld/portable devices, anything over $200 tends to make people apprehensive. I thought the PSP was too expensive when it released too. I didn't even buy it. A buddy bought it for me as a birthday gift.

Trust me I'd rather have it be $150 and break then $250 and not break. I'd take my chances of it breaking.

Starting Jan. 25 Xbox 360 gold members will be able to check out a Crysis 2 muttiplayer demo. The demo will include the Skyline map and two game modes: Team Instant Action and Crash Site. The first is essentially team death match, the second has you fighting for control of alien drop pods. No word on a demo for other platforms.
