A PC service run by Valve, basically like XBLA or PSN, only with more insane deals. It also has its own achievement/trophy thing and communication service. If you ever play any PC games, it's definitely worth checking out, for the sheer volume of shit you can get for ludicrously low prices.

As long as it's done right, I always dig 'documentary' vids about game characters.

This one tells the story of Balrog AKA Mike Bison from Street Fighter fame...

Make sure to watch for the "real explanation" as to why Balrog, Vega and Bison swapped names.

Still, it was an amazing game. I can't fault anyone for not being able to get through it now though, because I have the same problem. One big problem it has: clunky inventory management that was the product of the time.
And the new game has had some great early reviews come in for it. I'll have to dig up the link a friend of mine sent me. Can't wait to play it, and I hope that Madden does not overshadow it.

            That's awesome!

            But yeah, Madden will.

Like Seth said. Basically the best thing of life. Right now, you can get every Doom + Quake game for $30. Or for $70, you can get all that plus stuff like Fallout New Vegas, Morrowind, Oblvion and some other classics. Those retail at $400. It's a mind blowing good deal all the time. I just wait 3-6 months for everything and buy it in one of their crazy sick deals

I just bought 4-5 games on Steam (fallout 1,2, Fallout Tactics, Terraria) and own 20+ games on Steam already and can vouch for there awesome service.

Be advised though to pay attention to requirements, because my PC is straight ballin' and can play The Witcher 2 on it's highest graphics.

Yet I bought/downloaded Vampires the masquerade for $9 and it can't run on my PC. It can only run on a pc with 2gb's of ram or less and also can't run on Vista.

But if anyone has DoD's, Countersrike's, Team Fortress's or Battlefields hit me up.

Yeah. I've already tried to adjust the key mappings a little to make it a little easier on my left hand. Still, I love games that give you a lot of different ways to complete your objectives, and Deus Ex hasn't let me down in that regard.

I almost feel bad that I'm going to wait until I can get it for less than $30 before I buy it.

I'll also add that you should check the Steam forums for each game as well to check for compatibility issues (especially with older games).

Looks like Battlefield 3 won't be distributed through Steam.

I'm sure it will be at some point. EA and Valve will end their pissing contest as it will cost both of them money

The rumor is that EA wants most of the initial digital sales to go through Origin before they add it to the Steam library.

Hot damn is NFS:HP still a blast. I popped it in last night to play with a buddy and I've been pretty much playing ever since. I downloaded the Lambo, Porsche and Sport car DLC's a bit ago and they are awesome. I feel like I'm driving the Batmobile with this Lamborghini Elemento.

I KIND of want to get the Quakecon shit because $70 is really NOTHING for what you get but fuck, I'm poor right now.

Are you talking about Bloodlines? Because I played it through on my computer on Vista way back when and it was fine. I bought it on Steam because I couldn't find the old disc so perhaps it's a Steam thing?
