Rockstar Confirms GTA, LA Noire, Red Dead Bundle
Bundle to include Grand Theft Auto IV’s DLC, LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption and Midnight Club: LA
Rockstar has now confirmed that Rockstar Games Collection: Edition 1 will hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 6th.
The set will be available for $59.99 and, as detailed below, includes Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, LA Noire and Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition.
Retailers have outed the Rockstar Games Collection, bundling Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, L.A. Noire, Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition and Red Dead Redemption. The set first appeared on retailers Buy.com and CDUniverse.com, who list the collection as hitting stores on November 13th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. User thekonamicode on the NeoGAF forums also dug up a box art for the collection, seen below.
Episodes from Liberty City includes The Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and the Damned, originally released as add-ons for Grand Theft Auto IV. Midnight Club’s Complete Edition, meanwhile, includes the full game as well as the South Central map expansion, premium upgrade and vehicle packs. The box art notes that this is Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1, but no listings for subsequent editions have been unearthed.

And we still need to play Too Human co-op, I was getting my closet and TV stand cleared out for new carpet to be put down, and ran across my copy and remembered we need to do that.Comment

Are these the retail games or the DLC? If it's retail I'll totally buy.

As far as XCOM, basically my sell would be 3 fold:
1) Did you play and like the original XCOM, and if so, would you like a more streamlined, better made game?
2) Do you like turn based strategy?
3) Do you like SimCity-ish stuff?
Basically, it is an updated version of the old game, which is A LOT better. As a fan of the old game, I went back to it recently and found it almost unplayable in the amount (or rather lack thereof) of information they give you. I had trouble deciphering how to get out of the initial SCREEN. This is a lot more user friendly (but definitely still challenging). The SimCity part is really SimCity light, but still cool, as your base is underground and you have to choose where to excavate and consequently where to build new parts of the base (Psi labs to learn psionic abilities, foundry's for upgrades, workshops and labs for more engineers and scientists, hold cells for alien interrogations, etc...)
It's just a lot of fun if you're into any of the tactic style games (FF, Tactics Ogre, etc...although this isn't on a grid per se). The brutal difficulty only serves to help the dire plot in which humanity is surprised and outgunned. It works well I think.
I'd give it a shot if you're a turn based fan at all. If you aren't, or if you are bothered by dice rolls (every attack has a % in this so Twigg, avoid), then I'd definitely stay away.Comment

I'm definitely down for some Too Human still. I'm in the middle of a move right now, and I would also like to try and re-acclimate myself somewhat to the games weirdo controls, but after that, I'm game.

Looks like I'll give it a try. I like games where you have to build a base like that, and I'm interested to see how difficult it truly is.Comment
