Sitting pretty in College Hoops 2k8. Year 3 with SFNY.
I'm 21-6 (12-2) with 2 games left and a 2 game lead for the conference. I have games against Monmouth (highest rated team in league, #2 in standings at 10-4) and Robert Morris (#4 in league). Monmouth beat me by 3 our first game, and I beat Robert Morris by 20 a few games ago.
Just need to win one of the two to get a league championship and the #1 seed for the conference tournament. (or, Monmouth needs to lose it's final game).
I'm projected as a 13 seed right now, but you need the auto-bid (from winning the conference tourny) to dance....so we'll see.Comment

Year 3 ended in moderate disapointment. We finished 21-8 regular season and won the conference championship, but lost to Robert Morris in the 2nd round of the conference tourney. Made the NIT, but I simmed that because who gives a fuck about the NIT?
Cleaned up in recruiting, signed a top 150 player (SF--Davenport), a decent PG and a decent center (61ovr, B- potential and 7'1).
Heading into year 4 we have to replace about 31 points, 4 boards and 10 assists a game.
I also recruited a log-jam at the 3/4 spot. Davenport came in a 75 ovr, making him the 2nd best player on the team. But I have a 3 year starter at SF (71 ovr, 12ppg) in Perunicic and the conference freshman of the year in Lynwood Davidson at PG (8points, 8 boards a game). None of them are really suited to play center (they are all true SFs).

I also don't have a true PG. My recruit is pretty weak (62ovr). I have a pair of good SG's, Dallas Elmore (77ovr, 6'5) and returning starter Sampson (9.8ppg). One will have to play the point, but none of them have good ball handling. Definately a change from last year.
Either way, we upgraded from a 70ovr to a 75 ovr and are now the highest rated team in the conference.
Goals for year 4:
Make the dance. Period.Comment
