I still say Kratos would be better than Elizabeth. Way more recognizable and there is a lot of blank space on that letter N. But that's just my 2¢.Comment

kinda of agree but only because the V is basically all white with the batman picture....so you see white-color-white.Comment

Anyone use Turtle Beach headset for the PS3?
I saw them at BB but wanted to know opinions before buying a set. If you do, are they wired/wireless? How do they sound? Does your head/ears hurt after wearing them for extended time? Thinking of getting some for my night gaming...looking at the wireless ones (around $100).Comment

Having finally watched this, it makes sense to me.
Studio's dying on the vine left and right because of unrealistic expectations for sales.
Said sales get affected by "bad review scores" (you basically have to be a fan on specific niche products or companies/studios/producers if you're going to buy a smaller title these days... and even then "smaller title" can mean a NUMBER of things; just look at Sly 4) that could be like receiving a 7 out of 10.
Or worse, you miss the cut by a decimal or .25 because of an opinionated comparison to a better established franchise.
That's not to say that there aren't shitty games out there (I know, I've played them... EX: Winback was not great and neither was Bodycount) but the system's so bad, nobody really takes the time to allow a studio to polish their title to the point where a Day One Patch isn't needed or further patches afterward.
Gotta get that gaming dollar now or else you might as well pack up your shit and GTFO.
Or even worse, you have to pack up to your shit MONTHS before your game releases because it's easier to slap the game on a disc through a skeleton crew and worry about the consequences later.Comment

Yeah, but it's not Metacritic's fault, like Sessler's dumb ass is making it out to be. All they do is compile scores and come up with an aggregate. Blame the publishers for having such incentive laden clauses that rely on scores and developers for signing those contracts.

Regardless of what you think of Sessler's rant, you should see the weights that the study found Metacritic uses for each gaming site if you haven't already. The common theme in the assigned weights seems to be determined by the scale and whether they use decimals in their scores. For example, IGN gets a much higher weight (1.5) assigned to their scores than Giant Bomb (0.5) because they use a full ten point scale with decimals as opposed to a straight five point scale. It makes you wonder why some of these sites that you haven't heard of get a louder voice than more reputable sites.

They said an article written by some site was incorrect in their assessment of weighted scores....giving no name sites a higher weight. The problem is they would reveal what the weight for these sites are actually.Comment

Preordered BF4 and a copy of Dead Island: Riptide today to go with my PSN Card.
Soon as my camera phone (I have one now for those from the peanut gallery that would comment) recharges, I'll snap a pic of the free dog-tags I got as a bonus.Comment
