Because the silly predictions he makes is not his job. He says those things to get the maniacs on the internet mad and to get more people to watch and hate his videos.

Yeah, I'm sure Wedbush-Morgan loves seeing the face of their company talk out of his ass constantly and get blasted on the internet. That might be great when you want hits to your site but not when you want serious investors hiring your company.

I don't even think a price cut could help the Wii U at this point.

not a surprise at all..both were by the numbers n basically the same old shit...

Not saying they were bad games, just that at some point a good portion of your audience gets bored when a your new game just seems to be going through the motions...

considering God Of War got a pretty good marketing push, 360000 copies is....damn..maybe a lil suprising lol

Gears sold more but suffered an 80% decline compared godofwar's 70% decline...

Pachter is one of those dudes that video game nerds love to hate and it just makes my head spin. Unless you're planning on investing/did invest in what he says, why on Earth would you give a shit? I don't think anything that Pachter says would ever even register with me if it weren't for the litany of neck beards that get all rabble roused every time he screws up a prediction.

As far as stuff that does matter to me as someone who actually plays games: God damn is Terraria so much fun. I am afraid for when I have a 3 day weekend this weekend and my girlfriend leaves town. I worry she will come home to find me in the same clothes without having moved from the PC. I also picked up I Am Alive for 480 points after having wanted to give it more of a go after the demo, and I really like it. It's not great by any means, but it's certainly interesting, albeit a bit clunky.

Dragon's Dogma continues to kick my ass. Maybe the mage class is simply garbage early on, but it's just way too easy for enemies at the edge of my range to close ground and beat the shit out of me before I can finish casting a spell.

He just annoys me because he's always full of shit. I can't remember the last time I watched any of his interviews or read anything he's ever written. I just hear about it after the fact. He comes off as this "expert" in his filed but the only thing he's an expert at is being a wind bag. Plus you have all of these sites like Giant Bomb, CAG, Game Trailers that seem to take stock in what he says. He's in a position of authority in terms of the games industry is concerned, that's why us "neck beards" get so annoyed by him. I don't see how it's any different than a sports fan getting annoyed by an "expert analyst" on ESPN constantly spouting bullshit.

I would also like to get I am Alive but fuck M$ and their shitty sales pricing. 480 points? Seriously? Quick, without looking, how much in actual Earth dollars is that? Yes, I know the answer and that isn't even my main issue. WTF am I going to do with those remaining 20 points? So fucking dumb.

This is it for me. I would never seek out his bullshit, but whenever I get on YouTube, most of the gaming news sites have his crap posted on their channels and I'm just sitting there like, wtf...

They're all windbags. And there is no difference between sports experts and game experts for the most part. They're both pointless and only exist for people to find something to fight about on the internet. Again, I just come back to the fact that I don't know why people on the internet spend so much damn time worrying about what people in the games media say. It can be fun to listen to some stuff, but why waste time worrying about who takes stock in what (unless you're actually investing or reading a review with the goal of determining if you'll be purchasing). I've said this all before though, so it's not worth getting into a thing about. Life is just too short to worry about the majority of journalists/experts, let alone game journalists/experts.

As far as the points thing, I don't know what to tell you man. Stop buying games on XBL if you don't want excess points. It's a silly system, but it is what it is. Either stop using it or stop bitching about it. Either way, I think you need to move on as you've made this argument about 15,000 times in the last 4+ years.

Yup. But yeah, we shouldn't care about what anyone says about our hobby. Isn't that really the basis of the entire internet anyway? People say shit and we disagree with them?

I'm pissed somebody else is playing this on this site as well.

I was going to allow Chalupa Batman to be a Pawn as a joke but now?

Now it's gotta be a reality.

WTF am I "worrying" about? Someone mentions him or something he says and then I respond with how much of an idiot I think he is on a message board and I'm "worrying". I'm not making threads devoted to him. I don't lose any sleep over him. How is one of us responding to any ridiculous thing he says any different than you pointing out that we don't like what he says?

And yeah, I think the M$ points system is dumb. Using 400 points for $5 is fucking retarded and just a way to confuse the consumer. But that isn't my point here. My point is purposely making sale prices a total that you know it will leave the customer with leftover points that they can basically just wipe their digital asses with. And yes, I avoid these sales like the plague. Fuck that bullshit. Why don't they just make it 473 points for chirssakes? You're fucked either way. But I guess that would be a bit too transparent for their diabolical plans to screw as many people over as possible.

So let me get this straight Seth, you can come on here and complain about something and it's cool. But when someone else does it they're wasting their time? I'm confused.
