I'm still upset that I can't play Blacklist right now.
Holiday season's gonna drain my wallet like pornstar on Peter North's satchel by the time I get the games I actually want to sit down and play before the year's over.
Then again, I shouldn't complain considering all the free shit I get from PS+ now.Comment

Wellllllll... I think I'm going to finally do what I hate doing, which is trade-in games. It pains me to even think about it, but I'm out of shelf real estate (and I really don't want to buy another one right now lol) and with next-gen coming in a couple months, I suppose it's time to part with some of these. I'll obviously keep all the games I still haven't played plus my favorite games/series and will more than likely want to play again at some point. Just put together a pile of definitelys, now I need to go through my maybe pile and decide on them. This is tough
. Hate to do it, but I suppose it needs to be done.

Trading in is never worth it, even if its a crappy game. Even those, if I find myself wanting to go back and play it (which I probably will) it will cost me more money then the trade-in value on them now.
Do what I did, and buy a huge CD/DVD binder if you are really out of shelf space. All of my last-gen stuff is in one of those.Comment

Trust me, these are games that I will never have the desire to play again. Most of these games going are the ones that I was relieved when the game was finished. There are plenty of games that I love to go back to and I'm keeping all of those. I'm still keeping 90+ (just counted) of my current-gen games. The shelf space isn't that big of deal really, just helped me realize there's no point in keeping awful games like Kane & Lynch 2 around.Last edited by Swarley; 08-30-2013, 12:48 PM.Comment

Well, I did it. Traded in about 35 of my current-gen games. Got $240+ credit at GameStop and completely paid off Battlefield 4 for PS4, Assassin's Creed 4 on PS4, Arkham Origins on PS3 and Diablo 3 on PS3. I hate getting rid of games as much as anyone, but these games were all shit that I would never touch again. I still have around 90 current-gen games still on my shelf, so I'm more than ok with it.Comment

I am baffled that so many people are against getting rid of games. I agree that trading in at Gamestop is often not a good return, but it's better than having multiple shelves stuffed to the brim with shit you're never going to touch again.
Granted, I get more and more minamilist as I get older. Sold most of my books, all of my DVDs, and I cull my games once a year, down to basically the Mass Effect trilogy and Dragon Age: Origins. I really can't wait until consoles are 100% digital. I knew that I loved it before, I love it even more now with my new PC.Comment
