For now, the games look the best, they're cheaper even at release, and then there is the fact that the patient can get many newer games almost for free. Throw in the burgeoning indie game crowd, and also mod stuff like Steamworks, and it just makes more sense right now.

It also doesn't help that much of the stuff that has been shown for the next gen has been kind of meh to me (as it usually is around launch). I will likely pull the trigger on a PS4 if only for Infamous, but probably not right away.

Which is why I'm waiting for a while Swarley.

If I can fix my ps3 for cheap I might, but we will see. Been saving up for a sweet gaming rig for a while now so that's my priority.

I blew through LOU in like 2 days, with the PS3 on almost the entire time and after hearing Knubb's story, I'm surprised that mine didn't simply melt.

So, steering away from this depressing talk of dying PS3's...do any of the PC gamers here keep their Steam trading cards? I am also still not sure how you get more after the initial group. I know the reading is that you're eligible for random drops, so does that just mean that while the game is on and running I can get a card? Do I only get them with achievements?

I have just been getting them and selling them. All for practically nothing, but hey, I'm up to like $4 now.

I still have a bunch of them...I haven't investigated how to sell them. They seem as dumb as trophies and achievements but at least you can sell them for Steam dollars. Seems like some nerds like to collect them. Collecting virtual good seems like one of the most pointless things to me.
