So, next Tuesday is going to be quite the day. Far Cry 4, GTA V and LBP 3 all in the same day? Yikes!Leave a comment:

That's a tough one. I would have made sure to keep my XBL account tied to an email address I was using. Try going at Xbox Support on Twitter - https://twitter.com/XboxSupport.
Ultimately it's definitely her fault, but it sucks that the process is like this.Leave a comment:

Has anyone ever experienced this?
My wife hadn't really played her 360 in at least six months. The games she was playing were on PS3 that she and I were co-oping together. Plus, I think she was getting tired of every time she would turn her 360 on it kept asking her to verify her security info or something like that. Anyway, she thinks that she had an old email tied to the account that she hasn't used for years and no longer has access to.
Well, now that she has her own XB1 I told her she needs to get her account shit straight before I bother hooking it up. She tries going to xbox.com and it asks her to change her account information since the email is no longer good. She does and then it tells her she has to wait a MONTH before the new account can be verified. What?!? She tried calling MS and they told her there isn't anything they can do.
Why should we even bother keeping a console that she can't access? What a joke. I find it hard to believe there is no work around for this?Leave a comment:

I don't know if it's because I've played the game so much prior but, Binding of Isaac Rebirth seems easier. I choked on my Satan run, but other than that, I've already killed Mom's Heart 10 times in around 10 total hours.Leave a comment:

So yeah...
Spelunky.
1001 Spikes.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
My favorite games are basically "Drag yourself across miles of broken glass" simulators at the moment.Leave a comment:

Having not played a Platinum Games title nor seen the show (I know of ...Airbender and Korra but never watched an episode), would you still recommend it to a dude like me?
I remember seeing a stream of it the other night and remembered some sort of skill tree and combo system w/ the fighting engine...
Nothing "grabbed" me though.
A lot of why I like it is because I'm such a huge fan of the show so I know exactly what's going on within the game's world. I've always thought while watching the series how amazing it would be if a good developer got a hold of the rights to make a game. I went into this with low expectations because, as SethMode said, all of the Avatar games have been dogshit. But this game surprised me for sure and I'm going to enjoy very much getting that platinum trophy.
The story takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of the Legend of Korra tv show but is sort of it's own little story separate from the show, so you're not playing through something you've already watched if you have seen the show. (Think Cowboy Bebop movie style.) That said, it's story isn't going to make much sense to you if you haven't seen the show. They reference events from the first two seasons quite a bit and they do it as if you already know what they're talking about. Also the music is especially awesome to people who enjoy the series because the game's soundtrack is all music straight from the show. I for one fucking love the music in Avatar and some of the songs hit me right in the feels.
As far as gameplay goes it is a lot of fun regardless of how familiar you are with the show. I'd say start on casual and just blow through it the first time then when you play on the harder difficulties all of your upgrades carry over still. Which makes for a lot of fun continuing to max out your 4 different types of bending and not having to unlock them one at a time again. The bending in this game looks excellent and once you get all of the upgrades and start using the combos the game's combat opens up even more. You can switch bending styles on the fly in combat and even go into the Avatar state either with a certain item or once your meter fills from using combos. Korra's fighting style completely changes depending on which element is selected, even her stance is different for each one too like they are in the show.
To me what this game shows is that an Avatar video game can work. If you're a fan of the show I'd say buy it. If you're not I can't honestly tell you that you'll enjoy it. But I know if this game had gotten a full development cycle and was a $50 or $60 game instead of a $15 ps store game it would be amazing. Still worth $15 as is, but if it could expand more on the decently solid pro-bending mode and allow offline/online co-op of a bigger and more detailed story mode it would certainly be the Avatar game a lot of fans have been waiting for.Last edited by j.hen; 11-06-2014, 11:53 PM.Leave a comment:

Wait, Platinum Games did Korra? I might have to check it out then. I do enjoy the series but the previous games were AWFUL so I just ignored this completely.
Also, you both have PS+ yes? You should be playing Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, right now.Leave a comment:

Was scoping out the ps store and saw that the $15 Legend of Korra Avatar game was up and I swiftly bought and downloaded it. I'm really having fun with it, more than I thought I would. I'd recommend picking it up if you're at all a fan of the show.Leave a comment:
