That game really got me in the mood to start working on a website idea I've been kicking around. The website would kinda be like a Gamespot/IGN for PSN, XBLA, phone, PC, and flash games. I haven't really seen any other website cover all those bases. Basically, the website would be a website for gamers looking for a cheap fix for their gaming addiction haha. Does this sound like a decent idea to yall?

I was just going to say...

The moves/combos are supposed to be(at least that's what I've heard in watching streams of the game) the same as they've been since the first MK games.

I've played a little bit of the lite version after hearing people rave about it. I couldn't really get into it. I'm not into those Sims or multitasking games.

Of course I was exaggerating but I still don't think they are easy to pull off by any means.

Wombat from CAG speculated a while ago that they would have QTE's for the fatalities, which I thought would've been an awesome idea for someone like me. At least I couldn't button mash through a match and get to see an awesome fatality. But of course that isn't happening.

Special moves aren't hard to pull off at all Twigg, the challenge of every fighting game is implementing them properly. Not saying that there is anything wrong with being terrible at games, but the button combinations for special attacks is rarely the actual issue.

The whole point of fatalitys arn't to make them easy to produce at the end. I can remember when I was kid when MK Ultimate came out and Brutalitys were introduced. I spent literally hours learning and getting the combo's down to get the brutality to go. Nothing is more satisfying when you finally learn and get down a combo of 12 to 15 moves to get that kick ass fatality down.

A lame QTE where you "hit A now!" and then "hit B now!" to get a fatality off is just gay as hell and would continue the trend to cater to lazy gamers.

In Mortal KOmbat I don't even want to fight, I just die so the AI can fatality me.

While I agree with your overall point, I would like to get into a discussion at some point about this idea of "lazy gamers".

But yet still it is getting loads of 9/10's. Baffling.

I still have not finished bulletstorm, but it definitely has some humour and fun gameplay elements

you really just have to work at getting the skillshots down b/c if you just use the same combo it will get boring.
                          RIP

                            Lazy gamers....

You know the people that claim hard to is too hard in rock band or the people that buy sports video games and hate the fact they can't just pick it up and be allstars.

Not willing to put the time into a game and then turn around bashing it because of their inability to not control their ADD.

I've played Rock Band/Guitar Hero for 2 years and still could never do good on expert. I put the time in and I just couldn't do it. Fighting Games on the otherhand just get boring fast for me regardless of if im good at the game or not.

Expert is for the crazy people that play it for 3 to 4 hours a day and its the only game they play. I can play most songs on expert (outside of the crazy hard ones) but most of the time stick to hard since it was still a pretty good challenge with most of the later songs.

The medium to hard gap is where I make the distinction of whether you really want to play it or not. Getting used to the orange button isn't hard at all especially with the way games like Rock Band wheened you into it. It honestly should only take you a solid hour or two of playing the easy songs on hard to get yourself acustomed to the orange button and then it just takes maybe another 4 hours of solid playing to get the hang of it to the point wher its not an issue anymore.

Fighting games were always a pick up and play for a while game for myself. I was never crazy good at them but knew most of the moves and combo's and could beat the avg. person 9 times out of 10.
