At first the combat was cool, but after atleast the second chapter it is just annoying. Thankfully the rest of the game is very good.
Oh yeah, don't even bother looking for those fucking thermoses unless you hate yourself.

i always went and got them if I saw them. Though I passed one while driving and was like fuck it lol, now I just look for the manuscript, ammo, batteries, etc and try to finish the chapter.

It's probably too late now but you should refer to a guide to find those "secret" stash rooms and all the monuments. I apparently missed a few.

From Sony and your friends at IGN

          Press Release

Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) today announced the limited edition PlayStation 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, bringing together the best selling PlayStation 3 title of all-time with the PS3 computer entertainment system. Available on May 31, 2011, the bundle includes a 160 GB PS3 system, Activision Publishing Inc., and Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops on Blu-ray disc, plus Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike Content Pack, all for $299.99 MSRP.

"PlayStation 3 delivers the ultimate high-definition entertainment experience, offering a built-in Blu-ray player, free online gaming through PlayStation Network and the premiere destination for stereoscopic 3D content," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president, product marketing, SCEA "Combining these features with the massive blockbuster that is Call of Duty: Black Ops, a title credited for having the biggest entertainment launch of all time, PlayStation and Activision, have put together an unrivaled entertainment offering for gamers."

"The choice to bundle Call of Duty: Black Ops and the First Strike Content Pack with the PlayStation 3 is perfect for anyone looking to bring home an incredible entertainment experience, that delivers endless hours of excitement through the games epic single player campaign, hugely popular multiplayer on PlayStation Network, or our fan favorite co-op Zombies mode," said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. "And for those with 3D enabled televisions, the game's Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies experiences are seamlessly set up for stereoscopic 3D on the PS3 right out of the box."

Call of Duty: Black Ops puts players behind enemy lines as an elite Black Ops soldier engaging in covert warfare, classified operations, and explosive conflicts around the globe. In the multiplayer mode, the competition gets taken to new heights with the fast-paced, action-packed combat elevated with new customization options, Killstreaks, Combat Training, Wager Matches and many other new features. With the First Strike Content Pack, players get four additional post-launch multiplayer maps, and an entirely new zombie experience, Ascension, that lets up to four friends use a multitude of weapons to fend off endless waves of blood-thirsty Zombies.

The PlayStation 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle is available for $299.99 MSRP for a limited time starting on May 31, 2011 while supplies last.

TL;DR? - Sony and Activision are going to put out a "Limited Edition" bundle to milk more money out of Black Ops and the get people back to playing on PSN.

I havent gotten around to Red Dead Redemption yet. What kind of game is it? Like is it more focused on the story side like L.A. Noire or more focused on run around towns and doing different things like GTA?

Definitely story-focused, but there is WAY more side stuff to do (that's actually kind of fun) in RDR.

RDR is like GTA but with horses instead of cars and it's actually fun.

You can stick to the main story missions, do side missions, hunt for treasure (there are treasure maps you collect), collect herbs/meat/pelts/skins for money, play poker/horseshoes/arm wrestle/blackjack/etc.

You have the freedom to do mostly anything you want except swim and on top of that, there's online multiplayer that's still populated by a decent community.

Furthermore, Rockstar added a Zombies-type mode for shits-and-giggles that is one of the better DLC put out within the past few years.

Just confirming this. Its a really great game, its so much fun, including Undead Nightmare. Its not just one of the better DLCs, but its one of the better zombie games too. It is also well worth the money, as it took me a bit of time to get through it. It is different being in the Western setting, but thats part of the things I liked about it- it was a nice change.

You might want to wait a bit. I think there is a rumored GotY type edition coming soon.

I don't understand why Sony puts the Greatest Hits games in solid red cases that hide the art on the inside of the jacket. They should just put a Greatest Hits banner on the cover and keep a regular clear case IMO.

                            Or a translucent red case.
