I thought my friends count was one higher than it was. Couldn't figure out who cut me.

And fuck you and the fanboy comments. They are getting old. If anything people like you and Buzz are ME fanboys. If I were a fanboy I would be saying how awesome this game is and how the ps3 is getting the better version with teh bettar grafix and duh bettar contentz! ZOMG!!!

It doesn't affect me either way because I'm not getting the game, but if you think you aren't getting fucked over with this full price game well then I don't know what else to say.

I obviously offended Buzzman as well because it's his favorite game EVAR! I think I need to change my groan policy and start handing them out a little more liberally. LOL at getting groaned for disagreeing with EA's price point. I could understand if I said "Mass Effect is an over rated space opera with a good story and mediocre game play".
Dude, you got groaned because it's a retarded point. It's a new game for the PS3. Doesn't matter if it's been out for the 360 already, it's NEVER been out for the PS3. What aren't you getting about this? It's ALREADY a great deal because the buyer is getting the full, GOTY quality game, PLUS all of the DLC that 360 owners could have potentially paid $20 or more for PLUS the game. EA spent money making this game for the PS3. It's not just a port. They're being GENEROUS by selling the everything for $60.

As far as not waiting for the new DLC, WTF are you talking about? Who cares? Why is that a problem? You can get it when it's available for the PS3. Why would they wait to release for when it was out? Business-wise that would be beyond retarded.

I guess at the end I'm confused about 2 things: 1) why you constantly have so much disdain for a game series you've never even given a chance; and 2) what the fuck your point is about this and how on Earth you think this is EA dicking anyone over.

That definitely makes things different. Although that is pretty weird. They release the two or three packs that they have released within a few months of release and then there is a gap of a year in bewteen the last one and the next one?!?

It's not a game for me. I've tried the demo several times and just can't get into it. I'm not into all that dialogue tree and long drawn out soap opera type stuff. I know they are different games but I remember when Oblivion came out. Everything I saw and heard told me to stay away from it. But all the reviews and people from MM made it sound like the greatest game in the world. I even asked several people who knew my taste in games if I should try it anyway even though I don't like typical RPG's. These people, who I obviously didn't ask for advice after that, assured me I would love the game. After playing for an hour I couldn't wait to eject it. All that talking and boring walking around made me want to kill myself.
I just made a point that I thought the pricing was off and not including the last DLC was dumb. But now I see it's not coming out until September which explains why it wasn't included but doesn't explain why the fuck they would take that long.
But the best part is that I voiced my opinion on the pricing and you would think I attacked someones child the way Maynard and Buzz reacted, yet Maynard constantly calls me a Sony fanboy. If he isn't a ME fanboy I don't know what is.
I'm sure there are plenty of games that I love that other people don't. I don't know why people try so hard to convince me that ME is so mind blowing.

I did? I know I had to delete a few people recently because I had to add a few family and friends.

I'll add you again because I think I deleted one too many because I am also at 99.

How's it a retarded point? I think I made a very good counter argument with Borderlands. You got $40 worth of content plus the full game for $60. And that was when the stand alone game sold for $30. Yet with this game sells for $20 and you get $20 worth of extra content and a slight graphical upgrade and it's $60. And yes I know this is the first time it's on PS3, but it's not like it hasn't been on fucking PC as well. What about all the other games that have been on other platforms before and eventually get released somewhere else? I, and many others, said the same thing. Just because it's on a new platform doesn't mean it's not an old game.

It's actually selling for $10 on a few sites, both new and used versions.

Mass Effect 2 is selling for the full $60 price point, b/c EA games can improve the graphics on a year old game with the Mass Effect 3 engine, drop in DLC, and build hype on ME3 before it releases all while making a healthy profit. It can sell it at $60 b/c the market allows it too, as a few posters on this board have proven.

Is it a douchebag move and very Kotick-like? absolutely, but it's also just good business.

and By the by, I still cant get myself to finish ME1, the story in the begining is SW:episode 1 boring...

interesting that u think its boring in the beginning. i didnt feel that way probably cause i was in awe of the epic scale of the game and all there was to learn and know about playing and interacting with things on the citidel

as you progressed the story was great and i am not all that into these stories most devs come up with. but this one had all the greatness of an epic sci fi story.

i actually think ME1 is better than ME2. Both had great stories and great gameplay. But if ME1 was more of an RPG and i missed that in ME2. plus i thought ME2 was way too companion story driven. Looking back on it now, it feels like they got lazy with the story by making all those companion missions. It really took away from the main plot of the game

If you could take the action parts of ME2 and RPG (farming, leveling, looting, exploring)of ME1 and Dragon Age combined with the story and epic scale of all 3 then u would have one hell of a sci fi action rpg. Bioware has all the formulas, but needs to apply it into one kick ass game

I'm glad I went straight to MP when MOH was released and got all of those trophies. Finally getting around to campaign and nailing down those trophies in order. Worked on destroying AQ village with AC130 tonight, but came up short a couple of times. I'm pretty confident that I will have my first platinum by weeks end.

The average PS3 title lasts 6 months, if that, and it better be a AAA title and have SPEC-FUCKING-TACULAR advertisements backing it up or "it's shit."

Any kid knows what Black Ops but only a handful know what 3D Dot Heroes is.

wtf is with the online play on ps3? my experience has been relatively limited to the show. I tried to get on UC2 online tonight...after 5 mins of syncing i said fuck this

i was thinking about finally getting black ops, but getting it for ps3 since its free online. but if i gotta deal with this connecting BS then screw that

i rented singularity too. only played the beginning portion but i could tell right away that it was gonna be a cool game

With Uncharted 2 after 9 months of not playing it took me 15 minutes to sync but every time after that has been smooth.

And yes, Singularity is a badass game. I think I played it for 8 hours this weekend, probaly would have beat it if the playoffs weren't on.

i think i have a better appreciation for UC2 now then when i played it the first time. it got hyped up so much that u have certain expectations that cant be lived up too and it kind of lets you down. But the reality is the game is really like playing as part of a kick ass adventure movie. im only on chapter 3 this time around but the story is much more entertaining and i like all the funny dialog....plus all the excellent detail within the areas....i can just play it and enjoy it for what it is instead of wishing it was something its not

I agree 100% and that is my point. I'm not saying it isn't a good marketing decision for EA because it is. I know plenty of PS3 only owners are probably starving for this game that they have heard their 360 friends bragging about. But last time I checked none of us worked for EA which is why I thought the price was bullshit.
