I tried playing ME1 before but I couldn't get into it for some reason, usually I really like RPG's I played Dragon Age: Origins the whole way through and played all the Final Fantasy's up through 10....did I read somewhere that they're putting out ME2 on PS3 with a recap of ME1 at the start? I might try it again.Comment

ME2 on ps3 will have all the choices from ME1 in the form of a comic book sequence...which is great for the ps3 folk who didnt get to play ME1.
ME1 and 2 are great, but different in the rpg aspect of things. ME2 is more action rpg and ME1 is like classic rpg with action
cerberus network is free with a new copy...u can buy it new for less than $20 now....the cerberus network gives you free crap. most of which is not needed....but you get a campanion with a campanion story which is pretty darn good. is that alone worth 1200 points? not really....but i would get a new copy so you can get all the free stuffComment

that depends. do u want to play thru ME1? if u play ME2 on the ps3 you will pay full price...but you will get the play it on the new ME3 engine. you cant do that with the 360 version.
the ps3 version will have an opening sequence in the form of a comic that gives you the story from ME1 and allows you to make the major choices...6 i think. So while you wont get to experience the full game of ME1, you will still be able to play ME2 as though u did play thru ME1. Since the story carries over thru all 3 games, the fact that they added the comic thing for ps3 owners is huge!
if you want play ME1 or already did and want to have your save carry over to ME2, then u gotta play it on 360. if you have little to no interest in ME1 then play ME2 on ps3 with the new engine and a $60 price vs a $20 360 price.
i played the demo on ps3 and it does look better, but not that much better and not to the point where i would spend $60 on itComment

Yeah that's what I thought, I don't really have enough time to sit down and play through a REAL long game anymore, I got The Sly Collection and Fable III for X-Mas and I haven't played either for more than a few hours, so I figure I can just short-cut ME1 and get right into 2 haha.Comment

I have no idea when the Ultimate Edition for the 360 comes out (the vanilla game plus all the DLC) so I don't know if you're willing to wait for that.
The one thing I can say that the 360 version has over the PS3 copy is the game save compatibility with the original ME...
You can't just cover up hours of time and effort put into following storylines through with a comic and small survey on "what you would have done."
...but if you want more for your money out the box, you go for the PS3 version and cut your losses.Comment

Because if they already knew they were going to release it they should've held off the PS3 release until they could include it. It's just dumb to have everything...except one piece of DLC.
You're already paying $60 for a game that is a year old. Sure you get the other DLC that you pointed out is worth $20. If the game was $40 it would be a moot point. It still seems like you are getting ripped off without even mentioning you aren't getting the complete experience.Comment
