Nintendo to post second straight full-year loss - Report
Nintendo Co. President Satoru Iwata has pledged that the “Super Mario” game creator will post a 100 billion-yen ($1 billion) operating profit this fiscal year as new software titles boost sales. Analysts say he’ll fail.
Iwata will announce a second straight annual loss tomorrow, losing 18.7 billion yen in the 12 months ended March 31, according to the average of 15 estimates compiled by Bloomberg. For the year started April 1, Nintendo may post operating income of 70 billion yen, according to the average of 19 estimates -- short of a target he said was a personal “commitment.”
Nintendo’s Wii U, its first new home-gaming console since 2006, is failing to meet sales targets amid a delay of software releases that Iwata said were crucial to winning over consumers who increasingly play games on smartphones and tablet computers. Sony Corp. (6758) and Microsoft Corp. are also preparing to release upgraded consoles this year, adding pressure on the 53-year-old executive, who’s been in the role since 2002.Comment

So... the demo for God Mode...
It definitely eschews a heady story for 4-person online co-op "fun."
Pick how you want your character to look with an option to change into Pirate Hats, Soldier Helmets and even Taliban Headwraps if you get enough XP.
The only weapons you get to use for the demo are only the Uzi and Shotgun but you get more later on along with a special power like Shields depending
on how well you do.
Shit's boring as fuck though and the demo's too short of an indicator as to if you should play the full version or not.Comment

Yeah, it does. I watched a video on it last night after seeing it just appear in teh PS Store after having heard nothing about it. It just looks like a Horde-mode only game. For $5 I'd be willing to waste a few hours with some friends mowing down brainless enemies, but no more than that. And the game is $10.
I also saw TMNT: Out of the Shadows, another game I had not heard of, and checked out a video on that last night.
Looks pretty decent? It's also $10 and I would imagine it is four player co-op. I do think it;s interesting that all of the trailers say that it was supposed to release this Summer, yet it's out now. How often does a game, downloadable or otherwise, release months early?

The gameplay on YouTube makes the game interesting but I would have liked if they used the Borderlands look with same gameplay/physics....maybe I just want to be able to control the cartoon.

closer to the look i'm talking about but that was single player...so no combo attacks.
edit: it's not out yet...must be a trailer you saw on PSN. They said on FB that no specific date has been announced, so as not to disappoint if they need more time.Comment

The wife wanted to go to Half Price Books today, so I tagged along. I usually go to the video game section, knowing it will suck but this time they had some decent/good titles. They had Demon Souls for $10, MGS Vita for $20 and Binary Domain ($20....too much for a used copy). Of course, they had past Madden's (incl. 2012). I might make a trip there once a month, just to see if I find anything worth picking up, as long as it's not priced too high.Comment
