Picked up the Injustice Ultimate Edition this weekend on Amazon for my PC. Really like it so far, but super bummed at the slowdown bug. Every fight starts with just RIDICULOUSLY slow speeds. Weirdly, ALT+Tab in and out fixes the problem immediately, but it has to be done before every fight, so story mode has me in and out of the game a lot. Still, a relatively easy fix, but annoying that they've basically said "eh, fuck it" as far as the bug is concerned.

Walking Dead season 2 has been announced for PS4 coming out this year. I'm going to have to buy seasons 1 & 2 for ps4 bringing the number of times I've bought these games up to a total of 7.

I have been splitting time between my Wii U and my PC, which can handle anything out there in the current gen. I'd say though that 70% of the time has been devoted to the Wii U. It's a neat little system that really only fucked itself with a weird accessory (the gamepad). The third party stuff is nothing new, so whatever. But the gamepad (which I like, but not for the reasons that they want me to -- I like it because you can play Wii U games on it and they look pretty great for such a small screen....although I dislike when touchscreen functionality is shoehorned into games) is just kind of a mess. Similar to Kinect, honestly. It's got some neat features, but no one wants to develop for it.

Anyway, all that being said: do you like Nintendo games? I've beaten Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and both are amazing. If you like a sidescrolling Mario, New Super Mario Bros. U is right up your alley. Wind Waker I'm on my first playthrough ever, but I find it to be incredible almost across the board. Even the weird Wonderful 101 seems pretty cool, if you can get past the clunky "look up, look down" nature of its use of the gamepad. I'm super excited for Bayonetta 2, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one outside of a few weirdos from NeoGaf.

Other than that though, there isn't likely to be much there for you. The third party stuff is, in my understanding (I haven't played any third party games on the Wii U) uniformly better everywhere else. So, yeah, I guess we're back to, do you like Nintendo games?

PS - been playing Mario Kart 8 for about an hour and a half today and it is pretty much everything the hype has said it was, thus far.

I'm reading the GameSpy servers are shutting down tomorrow. That means no more Unreal Tournament 3 or Mortal Kombat online. Fucking sucks.

What he said. If you are a fan of Nintendo games then the WiiU is a must own for any gamer.

Besides the games Seth mentioned you also have some downloadables like NES Remix and Dr Luigi. Also, LEGO City Undercover is supposed to be all sorts of amazing. I won it and all of the other big hitters but have really only had a chance to play SMBU, Super Luigi U and some SMB 3D World, all of which are amazing.

I heard it was extended into June. Probably on par with those pissed when CollegeHoops2K8's servers were taken offline. Will be interesting to see if someone picks it up somehow, though it's doubtful.

Another off-topic point, but it fits the discussion- are the COD4 Modern Warfare servers still going?
