It's nothing like Skyrim.

It's a fine game. I loved Diablo at the time, and Diablo 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. It controls very well, somewhat surprisingly, and it will definitely fulfill your loot lust if you have it. It has a pretty dumb, not great story, so it's not really going to be your driving force.
I'm curious what difficulty level you played it on Twigg? I was bored with it as well, playing it on Hard, and then I heard that the difficulty in the game is kind of fucked up. I nearly beat Hard without dying. So I'm guessing it might be a bit more exciting at the higher difficulties.
Anyway, it's a game for a certain type of person. On one hand, you won't have the bias that I did coming from Diablo 2, but on the other, it sounds like even people here without that bias aren't in love with it. On the other, other hand: there are a ton of people I know that do like it...even love it.
If you want to know if you like the game type, you could always try out Torchlight. I don't know about PS3, but I know it's on 360 and is probably $10 or $15.Comment

The wife and I are playing on Normal I think. There have been a few areas that were aggravating but it's mostly been a breeze.Comment

I don't want to call it dreadful, just because it is completely out of the way. If it had overly long cutscenes or something, I'd care, but as it stands, it's not good but it's not a bother either. It's just the reason to play, by far (not that it really ever is in these games).Comment

imo Path of Exile and Torchlight 2, which are essentially the same thing as D3 only better...are both way better games. Torchlight 2 has a phenominal amount of variety and all the loot, coop and mods you could want. Path of Exile is totally free and even if you paid $50 to play it, it would be better than D3Comment

Well, it's a done deal. No more online fragging for us PS3 Unreal Tournament 3 playas. The Gamespy servers are gone for good....fuck. Console cats get screwed again. At least I downloaded a shitload of new maps to have fun with.
Hearing a lot of buzz about NBA 2K15. It better be up to snuff, or I'll stick with 2K11 for another year. Still the best in the series, with the best control system.Comment

Well, it would seem that the Sims 4 is shaping up to be a massive disappointment. Not really my thing, but my girlfriend loves them, and reading some of the impressions is a huge bummer for her. I'm sure it will still likely be a financial success given the love for the series, but critically it is shaping up to be strike 2 in terms of what should have been slam dunks by Maxis.Comment
