i was playing MW2 all day today. Tonight while playing the screen turned into this psychedelic looking view. So i logged off and turned it back on and saw nothing but a black screen with little white dots....just like this

no red rings and i heard all the normal sounds. Tried all sorts of things but nothing worked. Maybe it overheated from being on for about 11 hrs today...who knows, but im sure its dead.

Anyone experience this and know if its fucked

Fucking 360 reliability sucks. And the jet engine disc drive.

I love my 360 for a lot of reasons (great games, great online service), but I wish like heck they had released a reliable machine.

I second this. I know I always slam the 360 for it's reliability but I definitely don't get any enjoyment out of people getting fucked like this. Especially since it's happened to me four times.

i turned it back on and it did work. But im sure this is the end for this machine. It had it for a long time and it rrod once. I wont buy another one. I have a ps3 and a wii.....the ps3 will be getting some usage now

It sucks man. Guys on here tried to tell there was this great market for bricked consoles. Ive been trying to sell my YLOD ps3 on craigslist and get nothing but laughable offers for it. I might just send it to gophermods.com and get it fixed for $70 and use it as bluray player. Like a chump i bought another ps3 and ive turned it on a grand total of 3 times in a month since i bought it. Its hard to find time to play game with an infant around the house.

My ps3 overheated one day in quite the weird circumstance. I have had my ps3 on for over 24 hours before with no problem (Left it on DLing stuff when iwas gone). This time i had been playing MW2 for about 2 hours and it just shut up off during the middle of an online match. It wouldnt turn back on and MW2 was stuck in the disc drive.


So dont act like the ps3 cant brick on you too, because it can. HOPEFULLY yours doesnt since your 360 already has.


Best of luck man i really hope that your 360 has some miraculous second life and works again. We need to cut the console war crap around here. The only time you should be able to laugh at someone's misfortune CG is if their Wii dies. Then all bets are off.

Damn, that sucks for you, Maynard. I know how much you love your 360 and now you have to play with the stepchild PS3. At least it sounds like you are one of the few that has learned to not keep paying money for a faultily made product, though.
