I've been playing more of my Xbox since I just got it replaced (bought a new one). I made sure it was a Jasper model. I'm still careful with it, just because I now expect it to RROD. :lulz:Comment

The 360 isn't a fairly standard piece of electronics.Comment

well its officially dead. I didnt play at all today and now its doing this purple scribbly line BS. This kind of pisses me off cause it turned on just fine when i checked it a few times during the day. But now, with no time played its just not workingComment

When my third one broke I was told by the rep that my warranty started over.
How can they just downgrade a warranty policy like that?
If I buy a NEW 360 at the store I get a THREE YEAR warranty for RROD and E74 and a one year for anything else. Why would it be any different if I get a replacement?Last edited by Twigg4075; 01-09-2010, 10:13 PM.Comment

lmao....i just bricked my 360. our studies show that if you do not have video the prudent thing to do is wrap a towel, or in this case, a thick comforter around your xbox 360. Causing an intentional over heating to an already broken system to provide yourself with a big old helping of red ring of death.
i feel so in controlComment

How Microsoft has escaped a serious lawsuit is beyond me.
If Microsoft built cars, population control would be successful.
The 360 is a disgrace from a manufacturing point of view (I AM NOT A FANBOY ... I have and love both consoles).
If my refrigerator worked like the 360, I would be clean and sober ... because my beer would never be cold.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

well i decided to pick up an arcade model for $199. I got $40 in trade for my bricked 360, which i thought was great since it was dead. I also traded in a few games that i am not playing. All that included the gamestop rewards card bonus that i got.
i paid $120 for the new system. Not to bad since the deciding factor was that i got a Jasper model. Plus i have the hard drive and now i also have a hdmi port on my 360Comment

That's not a bad deal at all. HDMI is boobies.

i would have stuck with the ps3 exclusivly, but there are some things about it that annoy me. The lack of a community feeling is a huge deal for me. If im playing offline its great, but online, the lack of friends that i play with regularly, lack of people using headsets. The differences in the interactive menus for friends and communicating. The lack of a legitimate website to see what friends are doing and what not.
the other thing that bugs me is the installs of games. I buy a new game and i want to play, but have to wait for the install. Same applies to demos. Not only do they take forever to DL, but then you have to wait 20-30 mins for the install.
im not bashing the ps3 for these issues, but they are just things that bother me that i am not used to doing on the 360. Plus i have rock band for 360, and other games that i dont feel like buying all over again. All those songs i DLed for RB2 would not be available on the ps3 and i would need to get new instruments all over againComment
