What I don't understand is this. After my last brokebox 360 was replaced it appears that M$ didn't transfer the serial number completely. When I try to queue up downloads from xbxox.com and check them on my 360 it says something like "This file can not be downloaded twice" or some shit. Fucking stupid.

I don't have the patience to call Akhbar to clear it up either especially since this hunk of shit will break at some point anyway.

I dont know if you have done this...Playing as many games as you have Im sure you did....But every game I buy now...the first thing I do is install the game to the hard drive. Its 10x quiter, and the Xbox barely works hard because the disc is not spinning. I dont know how much it actually helps, But im pretty sure my Xbox benefits even after Ive been playing for hours on end.

i dont normally do that because i only have a 20 gig drive. So 1 game takes a ton of space. But with a system from march 2006, i guess i should have made room when i am playing that much on an older system. live and learn right

i will say that this jasper system is super quiet. Even with a disc running its very quiet. I did install MW2 to the hdd on this one though. Why take a chance.

i am curious if the 3 year warrenty applies to my new console as well

I'm in the same boat - 20-gig hard drive.

But I have an older 360 ... which means rocket ship without an HD install.

I am waiting for MS to release a 250-gig hard drive before I buy a hard drive.

Yeah, but not as a separate item. Just with the console itself.

If I lived in the U.S., I'd paypal you that $100 in a heartbeat.

Ahh ok....I have an Elite, so my Hard Drive space is not a concern. But I do understand that since a single game takes up 6 or so gigs. I think you did the right thing though installing MW2. Especially if thats your most played game.

And I am leaning towards yes on the warranty with the new console.

                      ROFL!!!

My 360 died and I never even use the damn thing. One day I turned it on after sitting idle for months and poof!

Now I'm on my 4th one, but I don't play either system much anymore anyway.

I used to have Comcast and would have to leave my system on at night do DL a demo...it sucked. Now I have AT&T uverse (18Mbps) and its lighting fas compared to Comcast....now I can DL and install in 15-25 min depending on size.

Do you have to download each item individually?

I got 100's of Rock Band songs that I've downloaded in the past. From what I read, if I don't do this I can only play my Rock Band DLC when I'm on Xbox Live (screwed if it goes down for the day). Not sure if it's worth to DL each manually...I'm always connected and like Twigg says there is more chance the system will break before my Live subscription ends (Fall '11).

I think what Maynard was talking about was the ridiculous game installs that every disc game needs, as well as anything you download.

If you download something from XBL, you can play as soon as it's done. With PS3, not so much.

Where did you see that? Maynard can speak for himself but it sure looked like he was talking about not really having the option to do DH installs on his 360 because of the lack of space.

As far as the PS3 is concerned, you're right, in a sense. The installs for older games were a joke. But I can't remember the last time an install took longer than a minute for any game in the last 1 1/2-2 years.

I'm not a techy, I only know what I see.

I see that when I download a game like the Dante's Inferno demo, I have to wait 20 minutes to download it, and then another 5 for it to install. On the 360, I wait 20 minutes to download and then jump right in.

I like to put a game in and play. I don't like to put a game in, wait 3 minutes, and play.
