I've had a couple red cards lately, and switch to a three man defence (today it's Rojo/Colo/Sorenson) and am having some good success. Wonder if this is something I can pull off all the time?Comment

Kind of a cool feature that I've never seen before, but I accidentally clicked the wrong post-game pep talk and made the entire team upset/confused. In the press conference after Buffon apparently made comments about my pep talks. Tried to save face and said I wasn't a natural public speaker.Comment

I recently had that as well. Whatever, we won the match.
A year after being one of my major surprises and getting rewarded with a new deal, Tamas Kadar has asked to leave Newcastle. I offered him a loan move, which he declined, so he has been sold to FC Copenhagen for £3.5 mil. I like Kadar and am sad to see him go. Unfortunately he was never going to break in to the first team set up after Rojo arrived.
Lost 1-0 at home to City in the FA Cup. With Champ Leaug about to resume, a cup final to play and a squad to try and push for fourth I am not overly devastated. Next match is Stuttgart at home in the CLComment

It sounds like its probabl workable in FM12, but you need to ensure you dont' get exploited too easily by wing play, or play the three defenders too wide and leave yourself vulnerable to unmarked guys coming through the midfield.Comment

Random... but I love how customizable the game is. That's an aspect I adore about many PC games. Beyond the normal additions like more logos, a massive facepack, and changing the edt files... I have the lower league DB edit file for Germany, so I can run the 5th division. I have custom Huge database and a Retain All Players file, ensuring any new game has tons of players available. I just added some nice stadium backgrounds for a lot of clubs in bigger nations. I have several panel edits, allowing bigger player pictures and such. I have new pitch side boards which reflect the real ads. Plus 3-D match kits for a bunch of new clubs. It looks and feels like a different game than what came "otu of the box"...
BTW - on my new game, I found Matej Kezman (of Chelsea failure fame) playing for BATE in Belarus. They wanted 20k for him and he demanded something like 2k per week for wages. Not really the caliber of player for the Bundesliga, but he's not terrible and he's nice depth.Comment

Cabaye has been injured for a couple of games, and holy fuck do I need him. We lost 1-0 to Chelsea and then dropped a shit 2-1 to Bolton.
Playing the Carling final, and Rojo gets sent off in the 5th minute. Fuck. Cabaye takes it on his back with a 30 yard screamer and a perfectly weighted pass for Cisse to finish. Since he was out, Cisse hasn't been getting any chances because no one seemed to want to pass to him. Cabaye comes back, and it's thru ball heavenComment

Up 0-2 in my second league of the CL knockout stages. Steven Taylor gets sent off AGAIN, just 3 games after Marcus Rojo picked up a red. I'm worried that there is a discipline problem because I'm not asking them to close down hard or tackle hard
Still, Stuttgart need to score 3 to beat me now
4, Cisse just smashed in another
Edit again - Cisse bags a hattrick, 30 goals in all compsComment

Didn't get promoted on the first attempt, and my wages/transfer budget got cut back a good amount. Off loaded a lot of players, as most were under-performing, signed a few frees and few loans, now it seems like everything is clicking. Injuries could be a problem in the future, but I do have some more wage space to get some depth.
Also, Freiburg were relegated, with Cisse still on the team. He's scored 2 in 3 so far, but it looks like he's off to Liverpool for 15mil. And Newcastle were relegated, too.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Wow. In my save, Elia is in the reserves and available on the cheap. He's just a worse version of Sam thoughComment

I signed him for about 2mil in 11 after he got stuck in Arsenal reserves for a season. Didn't have the greatest numbers, but came out averaging a 7.3 or something after two seasons.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

I went with Montenegro and won my first friendly 6-1 over the Faroe Islands. I loaded the US so I could start in January 2011.
