Now that more and more of you are getting this game I figure I will make a thread that can possibly help some of you out. In this thread you'll find a few key tips, and most importantly the use of common sense.
To start this guide off we will begin with my #1 rule.
Patience
By patience I don't mean camping. The maps are too big to camp one spot all game and pray someone walks by. Rush yourself in this game, and you'll take more shots to the back than my baby mama. After you engage in a firefight, be patient. This isn't Modern Warfare 2, and you won't get your health back. There is absolutely no need to run around like a mad man in this game. What you need to do after a fight is regroup, reload, and recoup. If you have a medic on your team that didn't ride the short bus to school, he will get to you, and drop a med kit off for you to heal. If you or someone in you class is an Assault player get them to help you get some ammo back. It's always good to be prepared. Nothing will get you killed more than running around like a chicken with it's head cut off while your screen is flashing red.
Teamwork
When in a squad it's always best to have 1 Medic, and 1 Assault class. The rest of the squad is icing on the cake. If you're a medic, your number 1 priority should be to heal, and revive fallen squad members. That 50 points you get for killing someone is nothing compared to the 20 points a clip you get for healing teammates, which multiplies x20 by the second. You also get 80 points via reviving someone. While playing as a medic you should definitely watch your mini map. The mini map tells you where your teammates are that need to be healed (Flashing Cross) or where they need to be revived (heart monitor/squiggly line). As an Assault Class your main priority should be to kill as many people as possible. While as a backup, throw down some ammo every once in a while for teammates to get some extra bonus points added on. Now out of these 2 classes I discussed none of which really stands a chance against a tank. This is where the icing on the cake comes in, as the other 2 members of the squad should either be an Engineer, a very good class against tanks, or even a Sniper, which has C4 and Mortar strikes to counter tanks.
In my experience squads that have 3 Snipers always lose. Yeah it's cool that you can snipe, and we're proud of you. We really are! But we're going to lose every round if you're going to selfishly snipe, or play selfish and lonewolf style at all for that matter. My best tip for teamwork is to definitely mix up the classes, and always try to spawn on top of each other as a team. Randomly spawning across the map doesn't help your squad at all, and solidifies you as a douchebag lone wolf.
The Select Button
While playing the game don't forget to help your squad members out by using the Spot Assist button. While looking down your sights you can tap select on enemy tanks and soldiers, and it will let your whole squad know where people are on the minimap indicated by Orange Triangles. Also if you are badly injured, you can look at your squads medic, and hit select, and you will yell out to your medic for a med kit.
Assault Class
The Assault class is the best way to rack up kills, but not points. While using the Assault class do not be afraid to use the Grenade Launcher. People as well as me, call this the noob tube, but in BC2 it's not really that powerful against soldiers, you really have to be spot on. Use the Grenade Launcher to take out enemies that are hiding behind objects and buildings. Do not FORGET about it. It's very useful, and I personally think it's essential to all Assault classes to use the noob tube wisely. The Grenade Launcher can help you rack up a lot more kills if you use it wisely. I personally think that while trying to upgrade the Assault class, use the XM8 Prototype. Although you may like to use the new guns when you unlock them the XM8 Prototype (the 2nd gun you unlock) is the best Assault Rifle in the game until you get the M416 or the M16A. Some people even use the XM8 over the M416 due to very similar gun attributes, while the M416 does more damage, the XM8 has a higher rate of fire.
While using an Assault Rifle from a distance it's obvious that you should shoot the gun in burst for a higher success rate. As an assault class make sure you help your squad members out with an ammo drop here and there. During my experience with the Assault class, which I maxed out. I now use the M16A along with the Magnum Bullets upgrade for even more damage, and the Grenade upgrade so I can carry 2 Grenades along with 4 Noob tubes before having to reload myself of ammo.
