With the biggest shopping day of the year approaching this week, gamers are on the lookout for awesome deals. Lucky for you, Microsoft is happy to help. They've announced a whole bunch of great price reductions this week for both retail and downloadable offerings.
From Friday, November 26 until Monday, November 29, you'll be able to pick up Fable III and Halo: Reach from participating retailers for a mere $39.99 -- sizable savings for two triple-A first-party titles that were only recently released.
In addition to the physical sales, Microsoft will be offering some digital deals from Tuesday, November 23 until next Monday. Xbox Originals Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Halo: Combat Evolved will run a mere 400 Microsoft points ($5). You'll also be able to pick up Xbox Live Arcade titles Trials HD, Monkey Island: Special Edition, Madden NFL Arcade, and Portal: Still Alive for 400 points. Best of all, Twisted Pixel's excellent hardcore platformer 'Splosion Man will be available for a shockingly low 160 Microsoft points ($2).
Microsoft will also be offering deals on some Zune movies, including Clash of the Titans, Sex and the City 2, and Cats and Dogs 2 for 720 points ($9) and 300 for 380 points ($4.75).
The only downside to the announcement? The movie and digital download game deals will be cycled throughout the week in various daily deals. You'll need to check in each day to see what's available. Microsoft promises some extra special offerings on Black Friday itself, so definitely take a moment out of your post-Thanksgiving day of rest to log onto Xbox Live and see what's happening.RIPComment

Torchlight coming to XBLA
I know this game was a huge hit on PC.Comment

Awesome! Twigg, despite the sword and sorcery of it, I think you'd like Torchlight. Similar to DeathSpank, just without the humorous tone. It's also a lot deeper than DeathSpank (and longer -- I still haven't beaten the PC version).Comment

That's what I was thinking. I've heard it has tons of quests and loot which is what I like from RPG's. Your character also has a dog too, right?Comment

There are 100 floors to the dungeon and you hack and slash your way through them.
I'd recommend it if you are into that kind of thing.Comment

The guy at EBGames tonight said that Portal 1 is $10 in the Marketplace, I might pick it up since I've never played it but I've heard great things and I know 2 is coming out soon.Comment
