the people they are "slapping in the face" dont give a shit lol... its a marketing gimmick for MS so they can go "WE OFFER FREE GAMES TOO, JUST LIKE PS+", nothing more, nothing less... this shit is for kids and poor people (dizzle), and like i said, the majority of xbox people just shrug their shoulders and keep on happily playing, not giving a second thought to this promotion

Its laughable than because the free games Microsoft are giving away are to the people you're referring too. They are rewarding the gamers that only buy 1-2 titles a year and according to you don't give a shit and acting like they are finally giving back to the community, yet are slapping their real audience in the face by offering 7 year old games that they already own or have played or could buy for $5.

I would also like to add that PS+ could offer five free blowjobs a month and Atlas (and JMS for that matter, who I know for a fact does play a variety of games) would still claim they had no interest.

You clearly don't go on much gaming websites, they are plenty, and I mean plenty that say its complete bullshit with what they are offering. You're right that this is just a silly PR move, but that doesn't disregard how shitty of a program this is.

the people on gaming websites are a microcosm of gamers as a whole... the ones posting in outrage are only the ones who care enough to voice their opinions (a la twigg and you)... its a numbers game, and statistically, plenty means dick when there are 80 million xbox owners in the US... i would hazard a guess that less than 5% (maybe 10 to play it safe) of those owners are akin to you and twigg... the rest are terrible people like jms and I


edit: twigg, i would gladly have paid for ps+ if it meant the servers were better and/or there were chat abilities, among other features... i really would have paid for it if it meant i wouldnt have had to buy 4 separate consoles b/c the japs shuttered out POS that brick once a year (inb4 RROD derpdom)...

XBL is far superior to PSN IMO, which is why i didnt buy another ps3 and wont buy a ps4, after being solely a PS1/2/3 gamer for all those years... you may not agree with my opinion, but you dont need to be a fucking ornery thundercunt like dizzle about it

It is a Microsoft problem because by doing so, it makes people like myself not want to continue to support their product. By losing a customer like me, not only do they lose the short term money (for the console) but also the long term money (all the games I would've bought). I am not the only one that has this kind of thought. Sure this shit program isn't going to be the make or break thing about them that causes me to stop supporting them, but its a combination of things they do like this that causes that. Sure, they'll still manage to financially fine without me and all the others like me, but I don't know anyone who would choose to want to lose money.

All servers for any games are provided and maintained by the game companies themselves, regardless of the platform, with the exception of P2P games like MLB The Show that don't use servers at all.

substitute service for servers than, since i was discussing XBL vs PSN (but really, MS doesnt have servers for XBL? that cant be right, and this article disagrees)... i bought my 360 in 2011 and its fine... i went through two fat boy ps3's and two slims... and lets not act like the YLOD isnt a problem, shit there is a thread here about all the bricked consoles recently...

yes, they will... show me concrete proof showing pre-orders are suffering (i get emails from sony making sure i preorder the ps4, so emails arent concrete)... and im pretty sure they announced games with gold before anything else at e3, so i dont understand that point...

You get emails from Sony asking you to pre-order the DAY ONE console. No you don't I call bullshit. Please post a screen capture of these alleged emails. I'll gladly post the one I got from MS just yesterday.
