They may look similar but they arent to me at least. I lost faith in madden so this year i didnt follow it at all like i did when i was apart of OS. Madden didnt interest me and i had very low expectations and high expectations for NCAA. After countless games... its better than NCAA for sure. In fact it almost makes NCAA unplayable to me.

I dont understand how anyone can tolerate NCAAs passing game anymore. DBs run the routes just about every play before the WR even makes his first move. Only way people get open is if they have the inside advantage or their faster than the other player. Im also seeing players run into each other messing up their routes even more. LBS are still batting down balls where my guys 10-15 yds open down field and DBs automatically cover the WR despite never seeing the ball thrown. For example Two WRs run go patterns and only the safety is there to defend it, he will move to whoever i throw it too without ever seeing the ball. Its ridic.

Madden i dont see that. DBs arent running WRs routes. LBs arent jumping 10 ft in the air to bat down a ball intented for someone 10-15 yds down field, DBs dont have eyes in the back of their heads as much and the ball trajectory has a much much better arc.

I dont mind the strategy pad. More people need to be open minded to change. After 3 games i was using the thing like it was the old way.

I cant stand those stupid fan cut scenes. Especially when its just focused on them and u can hear just them cheering loudly. It sounds bush league and i dont recall watching football and only hearing a group of people like that.

The commentary is too forced to me. Gus seems to be trying to hard.

And the User team pass rush needs to be tweaked up a bit. Manning sat and sat and sat all day in the pocket.

Thats it for the things i hate so far.

Overall the game feels a lot smoother than NCAA and last year. Im actually excited to play it, really excited. It still needs an APF like passing game and second hit tackles but i think this is a big improvement gameplay wise than last year. Im looking forward to this years game for the first time in a very long time.

Apparently EA thinks gang tackling is one guy wrapping the player up and then the rest running into him and falling down. Only had time to get in a quarter but it doesn't seem all that great so far.

That's what I noticed as well but it seems to be one-sided. On All-Madden, the CPU can get to the QB at will but my guys still seem to be running in place when rushing the passer.

lol...change is good if there is a reason for it and it makes sense. In this case, there was NO reason for it and it makes no sense at all. Its not about memorizing the pad because that will come in no time. Its about EA making another stupid move with their game. This move serves no purpose other than to make EA look stupid

To say it serves no purpose is simply wrong. I don't like this change like everyone else, but it does serve 2 purposes as far as I can see.

              1) The getting "stuck" issue as I mentioned in one of the other threads. This really only applies to non veterans of the game, but if you get "halfway" through making a presnap audible you can't hut the ball until it's completed. I don't see this getting stuck issue pertaining to anyone on this site, but EA is making a game for everyone so you can understand the point of view despite not agreeing with it, or benefiting from it.

              2) Spamming audibles. The more advanced players were capable of whipping through an excessive amount of audibles pre snap on the old system and EA believes it to be excessive, over the top and unrealistic. I've seen in some random online games where they are coming from here, where my opponent changes the play about 8 times in 4 seconds at the line and that just doesn't make any sense IMO.

I think once you have the hang of the new system, you'll get to make a couple changes pre-snap and it really won't be a big deal. One of the biggest complaints is that the CPU snaps so quickly, but I have to ask how many people will be playing the CPU most of the time? When it comes to TGT I know both sides will look to make a couple adjustments at the line and the quick snapping simply won't be an issue for any of us.

              That's how I see it.

Again I don't like it like the rest of you, but I disagree that it was done without reasonable purpose.

The strategy pad was to get rid of the ridiculous nanos.

i dont get that logic. imo, both the points kg mentioned are no reason to replace the system. Because once we get used to it, then being stuck wont be a problem and again once your used to it players will still be able to make changes fast enough to exploits.

The getting stuck part is nonsense. if u get stuck with the old system u can get stuck with the new system. since its new, i have gotten stuck because i didnt complete the process i was using. But once anyone who plays the game gets used to it then the getting stuck thing wont be a issue.

the 2nd part mentioned...to prevent nanos and spamming audibles. Players will still be able to do both of those things. as pastapadre said in his blog, if this is how they are fixing the nano or exploit issues then its nothing more than a cover of the issues. Rather than changing the system to slow down players who use exploits, why not just work to remove the exploits.

The pass rush is a joke. Got bored with it after a quarter and turned it off. I'd probably have more fun with it if I was playing with a team I liked. I don't really care for the Jets or the Colts.

                      The game seems okay tho.

I wish the demo had depth charts. I hate returning kicks with Brad Smith, I want Brodney Pool starting at FS, I want Jason Taylor starting over Bryan Thomas.

You can change starters on defense/offense on the play select menu.

I hate to admit it, but I'm enjoying the demo right now. I like controlling the speed of the player with L stick. I like the locomotion as well.
