    [ALL] Dead Rising 2

Is anyone getting this? I'm thinking of pre-ordering it from Newegg because they have it for $47. The only problem is I never beat the first one. It got so frustrating with the lack of save points and trying to save the dumbest NPC's in the history of gaming. I guess if I pre-ordered it I would have a reason to pop it back in and give it another go.

FYI, Case Zero is coming out for 360 (exclusive) this month. For those that don't know it's a downloadable prequel. The most surprising thing about it is the price, only $5 (400 points).

I'm pretty shocked to say the least considering Capcom charged an ass load of money for SF4 costumes and $5 for a multiplayer add-on for RE5 that was already on the disc.

What the hell, I ordered it, along with Halo:Reach from Newegg.. I guess I have some work to do with the first one before release.

2nd one is the exact same save system. Only difference is there are now 2 slots instead of one. Games mindless fun but loses its appeal after awhile.

By hey lets charge $5 for something that should have been on the disc.

Huh? It's downloadable and comes out BEFORE the disc comes out. Zero chance it's on the disc champ.

umm, if its done before Dead Rising 2, it should be on the disc, I understand if it was done after it released. Plus they worked on it at the same time as the actual game.

You do realize a lot of games are going to be doing these prequel things. The next one is Dead Space 2.

I like the idea of something that connects the story from the first and second, especially for $5.

Who else is getting it for 360? The co-op modes sound pretty boobies.

I really liked the first one, it was one of my favorite games, just because it just seemed the game setup was different than most of the games that are out there (shooters, sports, rpg). I never really had a problem with the saves, but I'm thinking they probably will fix those issues. It's been taken for forever for this game to come out, it has had at least 3 different release,, first it was like spring, the summer, now Sept.

I think teh problme people had with the save system was that there was only ONE slot. Very old school. And I know because of that you could paint yourself in a corner and be fucked. I've heard all sorts of horror storied where people had to completely re-start the game because they had saved and had no way of continuing forward on that save.

I also remember the game being excrutiatingly difficult. Mostly with the completely idiot "survivors" that needed saving. I remember constantly going all the way to the other end of the mall and grabbing a guy and trying to get him all the way back to the safehouse. There was no easy route back that didn't have swarms of zombies so there were several instances where you just had to run for your life. Not these dickheads. They would stop and try to fight, hundreds of zombies., and get killed every fucking time. Couple that with the fact that I vaguely remember trekking all the way across the mall to a boss fight only to die repeatedly because I couldn't figure out the strategy. Nothing like having to trek back numerous times and dying. It was shit like that that caused me to quit playing.

I'm going to pick it back up though because I want to beat it before 2 comes out.

There's a new trailer on Live for the Case Zero prequel. It looks pretty damn cool and for $5 you can't beat it. Pretty awesome move by Capcom considering their track record.

It also says that it is set to release next week.

                            Collector's Edition

If the North American special edition of Dead Rising 2 wasn't good enough for you, you'll likely love Capcom's High Stakes Edition, packed with swag and available now for preorder via the Capcom Store while supplies last.
